Lib Technologies NAS Jib reCURVE Alpine Ski - 2008

The Lib Tech NAS Jib ReCurve Alpine Ski adopts tip and tail rocker from powder boards and combines it with Lib’s signature Magnetraction technology for a park ride that kills it in any snow condition. This wood core ski features relatively narrow waist for better edge transition and grip, and a sintered UHMW base to ensure you don’t come up short on that 60-foot table. Magnetraction technology gives this ski wavy edges that act like a serrated blade to slice and dice icy pipe walls, while Lib Tech’s reCURVE design provides tip and tail rocker for increased performance in soft snow as well easier butters and presses in the park.

Bottom Line: ReCURVE and Magnetraction make this a banger park board that can slay it the pow.

Ive been looking at these skis for awhile now and am thinking

Ive been looking at these skis for awhile now and am thinking about getting them for next season i am not concerned to much about weight but i would like to build up a pretty light park set and i cant find out how much these weigh also is the rocker hardly noticeable or is the same type of rocker as some pre gnarly pow skis

The rocker isn't anything crazy like pow skis, just enough to make this ski a more versatile all mountain ski, and to help butter. As for the weight, I never weighed them, so I can't actually tell you, but I can say that they are pretty light, maybe not the lightest, but getting there. You won't regret these skis man.

after 5 years on salomons i definitely (besides buying some parillos two years ago) switched back to my old favorite brand i used to buy snowboards from some 12 years ago. when it comes to an all mountain ski, you go pretty well with these. i mounted a marker griffon 1 centimeter behing the dent and feel quite cosy in the backcountry, park (where you actually dont even notice you got skis on your boots since the are quite light) and even on hard pack/icy groomers. there the has time arrived where you get familiar with the magnetraction thing, even when you dont want your edges cut some ice, they will do. as they are built to do so all the time. the rockered/recurved tip and tail provides you with a nice off-piste feature: you feel like on some 185 ski allthough riding a 173 one. as in my opinion those lib techs tend to be quite hard in the tail and are a bit weak in front (because of the rocker) they are what i was looking for since a while.

The length options to purchase are only 173, but that sizes listed in the specs dont list that size. Is the information on this page actually correct?

Hey, i am wondering i need an all mountain ski, float in deep powder, control on groomers for speed, and the ability to park with the ski, the one pair in our shop say that this model is 92mm wide but they arn't and they are called Recurve Jib Park NAS? so im a little confused! would i be better off gettin the JIBNAS or the ReCurve PipeNAS? i am 5'11 and weight 165 type 3 skier type!

The information listed here and on libtechnas.com is now correct. This is probably their most versatile ski; that is park, groomers, and powder. If you look now, this is the same as the jib nas except for graphics and the recurve, which helps just about everywhere.
