I had to buy new ski boots because I have been wearing 10 year old Raichle boots that are completely unbearable. I thought to ski well you needed boots that were painfully tight.

If this were to remain true I was going to quit skiing.

Luckily I gave in and bought these and they are awesome. I realize technology improves with time but these boots are un believably comfortable and seem to perform just as good as my old Raichle boots.

I realize most people are looking for a more technical review of ski boots but I have slightly wider feet that most and can only say that these boots kept me skiing. I can wear them all day without any complaints, have all the necessary support, and they look great. Try them!

this is an awesome boot. it offers performance and lots of control. it'll hold your heels down and keeps the feet from wiggling too much. it's definitely made for people with wide feet, so if you're feet are wide, this boot is for you. i had to have mine stretched because my feet are EXTRA wide. i ski basically everything on the mountain and have never had a problem with the boots. they have awesome rubber grips on the bottom so you wont slip on ice when walking and they have a pretty cool walking mode too

I gave this boot 4 stars because the shell is GREAT!!! Finally, a boot with a 102mm and a 120 flex. So SICK of stiiff boots with 97mm lasts. Why is it that boot companies thing that all aggressive skiers have skinny feet? The flex is consistent and powerful. The walk mode in this boot is the best I've seen. Far better than the typical plastic switch/lever on the back of the boot. Whether going to the bathroom or standing in the lift line, super easy to just flip the second calf buckle and go into walk mode with LOTS of extra room to stand in; great for patrolling, instructing, and touring.

Why not 5 stars you ask? Well I've had issues with the liners. I've already returned one pair to Lange for a rip in the liner near the ankle. Now, on my second pair of liners, there is a rip at the base of the tongue; seems cosmetic, but as this is the second issue, I'm not super satisfied with them, but over all, very happy and I'd recommend these to somebody. Thinking about getting a custom liner from Surefoot as I really do love these boots. I have had the shell stretched quite a bit, but these are the most comfortable and best performing boots I've had in a long while.

Also, the soles are nice for walking around the resort. Not Vibram, but they're a soft material that interchangeable and sticky.

For the big foot skier this is like a holy grail, fitting a wide foot and large ankle as well as the heavier skier.

Kills on the grooms and loves all vaired terrain as well as with the walk feature allows you to stand up and not feel the back of the boot, You just need to make sure the full package works for you, I have a large 12+ foot and find that it fits best close to shell and lower than indicated. I have rocked langes for years Last time the Lange in the old Lange TII yellow bannana boots, they were wonderful, Went to Technica ski boots after them.
