Lange Fluid 120 Ski Boot - Men's - 2007

The Lange Men's Fluid 120 Ski Boot combines high performance design with amazing comfort and surprising ease of entry. Lange teamed up with Ferrari designer Pininfarina to create the Fluid Series boots and liners. An overlap cuff design provides consistent, silky smooth flex by integrating the tongue and cuff for a foot-hugging ergonomic shape. The wide, bio-mechanically engineered Fluid Fit footbed grants ample room in the rounded instep and toe box to boost comfort without sacrificing performance, while the 100mm-wide performance fit hugs your foot closely without putting your feet to sleep. The Fluid 120's Custom Air Concept liner sports Alacanta fiber—the same fiber Porsche uses on their car seats—around the calf for comfort and extremely easy boot entry. From the bumps to the back bowls, this burly boot skis with confidence and strength.

Bottom Line: The Lange Fluid 120 Ski Boot takes you to the next level of performance and comfort integration.

All ski boots are one shell, one liner, and a differnt footbed. (i would ALWAYS toss the footbed and get, at the minimum, a superfoot. i would recomend going to your local shop and bring a six pack and ask to be fitted.

I bought a pair of these boots in March because my tricked out Crazy Blue Lange WC 120's started leaking around the toe dams, and these are fitted with toe & heal sole plates that can be changed to cant the soles (I need 1.5 degrees on one foot.)The boots have a wider toe box than the WC 120's so I went a half size smaller and found that they performed about the same as the WC 120's but with more comfort. Edge to edge was comparable but fore/aft flexing was a bit softer. My orthodics fit OK and I really like the leather insert in the back of the liner which makes my foot slide in and out easier. During the first outting it rained for 2 days but no leaks!!and the boots handled long carves, short turns, bumps, and park with comfort. I'm looking forward to using them more this year.

how do i use the thermo-moldable liner. does a fitter have to heat it?

It is best to take your boot to a boot fitter so that they can properly heat the liner and mold it to your foot. A boot fitter can also look at your foot and determine whether or not you should get a custom footbed, or just use the stock footbed that comes with your boot. The Fluid boot is wider than the FR series boots from Lange. Most heat moldable liners will mold to your foot over time, but if you get it heat fitted by a boot technician it will work better and most of the boot liner "pack out" time will occur instantly.

a very comfortable performer. the 100mm toe box is new to lange, however, competing with other manufacturers developments (salomon impact series) and the technologies available in production capabilities, lange has scored a win with this model line. a stable foot (custom footbeds are a no-brainer with moneys saved) and a stiff cuff to transfer energy to the ski used to require a vice-like boot fit. negatives: numb feet and bone spurs for repeat offenders (like me in the nineties). no longer. charge large, in comfort and confidence, with the fluid series.
