Lafuma X950 Pro Sleeping Bag: 30 Degree Synthetic

Sometimes things get soggy on your backpacking trip. When the Lafuma X950 Pro Sleeping Bag encounters moisture, both the water-repellent shell and the synthetic insulation work to combat the wet and maintain warmth. The two-way zipper means you can vent a bit of excess heat once you warm up. Stash your headlamp or contact-lens case in the interior pocket and drift off.

Bottom Line: We bet Shackleton’s men would have been stoked on the X950 (reindeer-hair bags get soggy so and moldy).

light and warm

i borrowed a friend's for a backpack trip to lassen and despite my initial doubts at shaking it out, i was impressed with this bag. i'm a minimalist packer with a minimalist amount of body fat and the tiny pack-down size plus warmth appealed to me, so i looked online, more than certain it was going to way overpriced. happily, i found the tag more than reasonable, and now i own one:)

the only complaints i have are that if i turn over in my sleep it tends to turn with me, but this is a typical problem with any mummy bag. anyone who likes a lot of fluff will be disappointed, but if you want a lightweight three-season bag that leaves room inside your pack for other things, this is it. lafuma beats out marmot and patagonia on price any day.

Didn't love it

My husband used it and he was cold during the night. I don't know if it was just psychological because of the loft or what, but he didn't like it.

Decent bag

Ordered this in online for a warm season bag and was initially disappointed at the loft, it's only about 2", maybe 3" thick when fluffed. However I camped out with it on a foam pad on a 55'F night and was actually too hot in it and had to unzip the bottom a couple feet - the insulation is thin but effective. At 2lb2oz the weight really shines and it comes with a nice compression bag as well.
