Lafuma One Kilo Extreme Sleeping Bag: 30 Degree Synthetic - 2006

You don't need that -50F down bag when you're backpacking in balmy weather. Leave that expensive thing in the closet and bring along the Lafuma One Kilo Extreme Sleeping Bag. This mummy bag takes advantage of Thermolite Extreme synthetic insulation to provide adequate warmth for early spring through late fall at only 2 pounds, 2-ounces—that's a bit under a kilo for those metrically inclined. And if that starry night turns into a drizzle—no worries. The synthetic insulation keeps you warm down to 35F, even when wet—something a down bag can't do. The One Kilo Extreme not only gives you a low weight and a low price, but it also packs down small—to 7 by 12 inches. *Bags may come in left or right zip.

Bottom Line: The Lafuma One Kilo Extreme Sleeping Bag -- shave ounces, save room, save some cash.

The build quality on it is good and i think it would be a good summer bag but if you are going to be out in cooler temps I would not recommend it. I took it out this fall when the temperature only went down to about 45 at night and was freezing with a shirt and shorts on. I ended up adding some sweatpants, softshell jacket, and hat just to try and stay comfortable. i usually sleep warm but for some reason this bag left me freezing.

the bag is superlight . I used it in summer time so not sure how it will work in cold weather. But the size was perfect for the backpacking trip
