Lafuma Hybride Camping Chair - 2007

Lounge on the beach, at your campsite, or in your backyard in the Lafuma Hybride Camping Chair. You can recline the Hybride Chair into a seemingly infinite number of positions. Once you find the best position, fasten the chair into place with its locking lever. Lafuma named this recliner the Hybride because its frame is a hybrid of aluminum, which makes it extremely lightweight, and steel, which is super sturdy. Comfortable wood armrests stay in position as you lie backward or lean forward. Adjust the pillow for maximum comfort. This chair folds for easy storage and transporting.

Bottom Line: Chill in ultra comfort in your Lafuma Hybride reclining camp chair, whether you're at a barbecue, outdoor concert, or campground.

It appears from the photos that most other chairs of this type made by Lafuma and other companies have a horizontal bar or 'footrest' but this doesn't seem to have one. Can anyone comment on this? Does it reduce the stability or durability?
Last question: we need a chair that raises the feet and lower legs to be level with or slightly above heart level. I can't tell from the images. Can anyone comment? Thanks a bunch!

The hybrid model is very strong and stable… actually, if feels to be much sturdier than my mom’s XLS version with the foot rest.

It has a curved bar behind the fabric and the fame material seems to be stiffer. Can’t speak about the durability yet since mine is new.

You might get your legs close to level with your heart, but I don’t think higher. I double check this next time I get it out.

Hybrid Lafuma

Personally, I think the Hybrid is they way to go for two reasons. One it doesn’t have the bungee cords that tend to wear out. Two, it doesn’t have the foot rest that wasn’t at the right level for me and ended up being a pain in my Achilles.

My mom and dad have the XL version which is close to fitting me, but still not quit right. I’m 6’ 1” 36X33. The bottom half of the chair just isn’t long enough for me. My brother has the regular version and his isn’t even close and now after about 5 years his bungee cords are shot.

The hybrid is just right. Albeit, I have a few different zero gravity type chairs and know how to get in/out and up/down easily. The foot rest would help a beginner. Mine has wooden arms which are okay, but not as comfy as my parents with padding.

Also, I’d be interested to see how well the fabric holds up long term.

Not sure how it's attached but probably more than hopes and dreams, This chair can hold up to 290 lbs. ...that's sad. I was told it was hopes and dreams.
