The La Sportiva Sandstone GTX-XCR Women's Hiking Shoes provide a combination of waterproof breathable Gore-Tex XCR material and ultra-grippy soles for solid wet-weather performance. These La Sportiva shoes keep your feet dry when you cover mile after mile on muddy trails, and their Vibram I.B.S. soles give you the traction to stay upright in the same conditions. Tough leather uppers increase durability while the GTX-XCR Hiking Shoes' mesh inserts add breathability for warmer days in the woods.

I will start by saying that I bought these for my girlfriend. These are her first pair of hiking shoes/boots and she likes them. The first pair I bought were too big, but sent them back and got a pair that fits. A 39 is perfect because it is between a 7 1/2 and an 8, which can accommodate a pair of hiking socks. Overall, great construction, sole is really impressive (vibram) and they are gore tex which guarantees you a dry foot unless you go over the top. She has only had the chance to wear them a couple of times and she says they feel good. These will keep any ladies feet dry and comfortable from what I have seen and witnessed, while not breaking the bank.
