La Sportiva Nago Climbing Shoe - Women's - 2008

When you want to get in a ton of vertical millage, lace up the La Sportiva Women's Nago Climbing Shoe and get after it. The perforated synthetic leather creates a comfortable fit and helps your foot stay cool on hot summer days. La Sportiva used Vibram XS Grip soles to help you stick to greasy, sloping foot holds and tiny edges. The Nago makes and ideal shoe for beginning and advanced climbers who need comfortable all-day footwear for long routes.

Bottom Line: Comfortable enough to wear all day.

Looks great but didn't fit.

I noticed that a lot of reviewers suggested buying this shoe at least a size smaller than normal, so I bought a 39.5 instead of a 40.5. I just tried them on, and they are very tight. I normally wear a size 9, and even though I am sure they will stretch, they are way too tight. I'm thankful for the easy return policy.

Great climbing shoe

Love this climbing shoe, it fits well and it's good for people with narrow feet. I recommend buying a size and half smaller than your normal street shoe. I wear a size 7 street shoe so I bought these in 36.2. Great fit.

Sorry for the confusion, my comment recommended buying a size and half smaller. 36.2 is equivalent to a size 5.5 in womans. I usually wear a size 7 street shoe.

VERY interesting you would say to buy a size and a half larger because I was actually going to comment that this shoe should be bought atleast a full size smaller. I usually wear a 9 and I bought a 39.5 and it's still has some serious room in the heal and toes. Feet are such funny things and oh so differant on everyone.

Review Title

This shoe is very comfortable but I'm not sure if it's just the Vibram grip sole or what but I've now worn the shoes 5 times in the last 2 weeks and the soles are extremely slick still, as in not very sticky/grippy. I could however wear the shoes for a long period of time, no problem.

Climbing bliss

I tried on a whole bunch of shoes before I bought the Nago, and I'm glad I did. I have a very narrow heel and a wider forefoot, a lot of the other shoes I tried pinched in weird places, but these were great. This is my first climbing shoe so I didn't want something horribly uncomfortable. I'm a size 9 normally and I got the 39.
