La Sportiva Mandala Shoe - Men's - 2007

Completely vegan materials and a unique design make the La Sportiva Men's Mandala Shoes a must for tree huggers, animal lovers, and rock climbers everywhere. Their skate-shoe-meets-approach-shoe styling provides a look unlike anything you've ever seen. But it's the combination of hemp and simulated suede materials that has everyone talking. There's even a stash pocket in the tongue to store you car key, or whatever you else you might want to tuck away. The Mandala Shoes easily take on steep climbing approaches with sticky FriXion soles, and board-lasted construction provides support without compromising the precise feel.

Bottom Line: Be at peace with the earth when you're strolling to the rocks in the La Sportiva Mandala Shoes.

Freeride bike, approach or chillin = great

These things are a dream come true. Sticky rubber meets skate style. These are awesome for riding on flat peddals, the sticky rubber gives awesome purchase, and is durable too. I'm on my second pair, and wear them daily. I've never had a pair of shoes last 11 months, but, the mandalas did. I think I'll bulk up on a couple pairs for the future! Fit's my medium/narrow foot well right out of the box, although a footbed makes them feel that much better. Great shoe for climbing approaches, riding, or just chillin.

Nice shoes

I bought these with some skepticism, but they have held up to the test. They are really comfortable and work great as a casual shoe, and have also passed the test on moderate climbing approaches. More durable than they look. Plus it's freakin sweet how well they stick to my longboard(skateboard)-- I honestly like them better than my skate shoes for carving and cruising purposes. I'm not really that concerned about the animal-free thing, although a lot of my friends seem to dig really dig it... so an extra plus

A little tight in the foot for me.

By:

I am a big fan of cruelty free, and that is the main reason I bought these shoes. I usually wear a 9 and a half size shoe, and the space is great in them except for the area above the toes of my right foot. I have to leave the shoe a little loose not to have any pain, and because of that end up not getting a lot of support from the shoe. I don't know if a larger size would work seeing how that would give me more space than I would need over all.

satisfied but could use improvement

By:

I'm overall satisfied with the Mandala shoes. They have great support and seem to be very durable. One problem I did have was that one shoe bothers me when I take a step. I don't know if that is because they aren't broken in or what. A- - B+

loved the shoe just the fit was a little tight in the toe box, but otherwise it is a very durable shoe! Great for around town, or getting up to a climb

Nice hybrid

This is a really cool hybrid casual/approach/sport shoe. The Italians tried to emulate American skate-shoe style...they got close but not quite. Kinda funny. But these are still nice-looking shoes you can kick around in all day. And they have sticky rubber; thus I've been using them when riding my DH mountain bike with flat pedals - they work great. Good for just tooling around on mellow trails too. Can't complain at all. Fit wise, I've got a narrow foot and these seem to be a good medium-width foot that can accommodate a narrower foot no problem.
