Recently, I was on a rock climbing trip in Red Rock, Las Vegas and I was wearing shoes I had for several years that were too tight. By the end of two days of climbing, my big toes were black and blue and hurt like hell. I didn't believe I was going to be able to climb the last day of our trip. However, the guide company we used had these shoes as their everyday use shoes for their climbing clients and I tried on a pair. Wow! what a difference compared to the shoes I was wearing before. All I can say was that I was able to climb and enjoy the last day of my trip on my first multipitch climb. And this would not have been possible without the comfort and confidence I felt in these shoes. I immediately ordered a pair from this site when I got home and I have been very pleased with the shoes. I use them daily now and I can wear them for hours without pain. They are very comfortable for a climbing shoe. However, I have wide feet so how long the shoe is can be a problem-at first they were a bit slick. once scuffed up they worked great with a small pad at heal to keep my foot forward. I normally wear a size 9 to 9 and a half I ordered a 43.5 or about size 10 and a half (hence really wide feet) only 1/8 inch pad in heal needed.
