These shoes are as good of shoe as I've worn. They hold on ridiculously tiny edges and smear like a champ. The sensitivity is moderate, but I don't mind that so much since it doesn't hurt as bad to put all your weight on a tiny little pin of a rock. These shoes have taken everything Montana has thrown at them so far. They are stiff, agressive, and reliable.

Some people complain about laces, but the asymetrical laces are fast cinch this shoe nicely to your foot. Besides, how much longer does it take to tie a shoe...

On the sizing, I have these in a 41.5 and I wear a 9-10 US street shoe.

Also, as stated by another reviewer, these shoes don't seem to stink. And I don't think they get too hot.

The 'cudas rock, end of story.

I bought this shoe from a friend at size 7 and my regular shoe size is 9.5 it was really tight at first but then i got used to it. The only problem i had is the lace ups are pretty annoying. I don't recommend for bouldering but for like some whattidly longer climbs. I like how you can adjust the heel tighter
but pretty much its pretty good

This must be the best shoe to use when you go trad climbing. I haven't done much, but the Barracuda sole is stiff for fitting in cracks yet flexible enough to edge and smear on smaller footholds. The heel fits as well as the Katana, which is awesome. One of the best trad shoes.

Cool design, held up for a solid 6 months before i tore through the web rubber top. fit is nice, though i prefer a slipper. shoe is pretty aggressive, but comfortable enough to wear in between burns. two side notes, they stretched out a good deal after wear, but shrunk back up while doing some deep water soloing so wearing them in the shower is an option. also, they dont stink at all, which is pretty wild.

As stated before, the sizing is pretty weird. I wear a street shoe sz of 10.5 to 11. The 42.5 were tighter than I prefer so I went with a 43. They're tight enough to hold the smallest holds but still comfortable. I've only used them indoors so far and they rock!

These are only my second pair of climbing shoes, but really glad I chose these. So much better on smaller holds. Only issue is they are for narrower feet, but I will survive :)

I'm an 11.5 street shoe and wear a 43 in these. They stretched a little over a 2 month period. I love them for cracks and short trad. Longer trad, or any sunny hot climbing and these get very hot (lots of black rubber all over). I still bring my worn out 5.10s for long trad.

I love this shoe for trad climbing! It has the all-around comfort of the Katana but with crack climbing bennies—like the rubber toe and lace-up.

Great shoe but sizing is a bit off. I had a pair my mythos and these i went a full size down from what I wore in them, great for sport, and some trad but would not recommend on long crack routes

This shoe rocks it for precision trad and sport. It worked great for a long alpine day as well.

awesome shoe. work wonders in cracks. has great edging and good smearing capabilities. lace ups create a shoe that forms to the foot. did not take long to break in. they are great in the gym and AWESOME on real rock.

This shoe does it all. I bought a second pair so I am never without a pair--due to resoling. These shoes are excellent for cracks, slabs, multi-pitch, basically everything. And, there is no breaking in time! I love this shoe!

First off, Thank you for the service one could only wish for in person (online customer)! Your gear/sales associates helped as much as they could but ultimately I found the perfect match! With a narrow foot, mid/low arch the Barracuda fits and molds perfectly! Right now, I'm in the gym and look forward to this Springs climbing season.. so great gym shoe! Great all around aggressive shoe!

Other than the wacky sizing-- at least a full (and then some) US-size small as opposed to what I'm used to, these are an awesome shoe for both indoor gym routes and outdoor sport and trad climbs. High performance, light, and comfortable. I haven't got to try it on outdoor cracks yet (these will get a workout on the Bonhomme Variation route on Devil's Tower this summer!), but the midsole is plenty stiff and the shoe has sufficient topside protection for the foot on jams.

These are the shoes if cracks, slabs or face climbing are your game. They are comfortable for long routes and hold up great. If you climb in the Valley, Eldo or the Gunks this is your shoe.
