Line Prophet 90 Alpine Ski - 2006

Open up the throttle anywhere on the mountain on the intermediate to advanced-level twintip Line Prophet 90 Alpine Ski. This Line ski packs the versatility to tear down the groomers and float the back bowls. The Prophet 90's maple macroblock core and metal matrix gives it plenty of beefy to charge through any condition. This twintip ski's freeride directional flex gets progressively smore stiff from tip to tail. This provide easy float at the tip and plenty of beef underfoot and in the tail to power through turns in the deeps. Lines Fatty base and edge add life to the Prophet 90—taking abuse from small rocks and hidden stumps no longer kills your ski buzz.

Bottom Line: This Line soothsayer may not be able to split the Red Sea, but it'll lay line in powder like none other.

sweetness

these things rock. the edges are indestructible and help you power down (or up) any turn in any hairy snow conditions. Compared with other similar skis (B4s and Gotamas) I felt that it took a while to get your weight centered...i think this is because the shovels are really big and I had to alter my ankle position and balance to get them to flow. These things are in their element with 6 inches of fresh snow on top of ice/crud...which is every day where i ski. i can see why the other review recommended these for the east coast. my complaint is that some little grom skied over the tails of my skis and took off a huge chunk of the top sheet...i can see the wood core! the edges may be solid but the top sheet is like saran wrap.

Great all-mountain ski

This ski kills it all over the mountain. The GS sidecut and metal topsheet give it great edge hold on hardpack, while the round tip and 125mm tip keep you afloat in the deepest of powder. It's amazingly light, but my one complaint is that it feels a little sluggish edge to edge. Overall I'd say it's a perfect ski for east coasters and Utahns alike.

Versatile

These skis are versatile - fat enough to ski powder but with a stiff enough flex to ski groomers. The twin tips are nice - might help release from turns better. I ski them tele and so far I'm satisfied. They are stylin!
