The Line Invader Alpine Ski delivers performance from the front, the back and side-to-side. This revolutionary park and pipe ski's truly centered stance, symmetric tip, and tail give you a killer ride. We call them the forwards-backwards boards. All this symmetry means you can carve, spin, turn and butter with consistency whether you're facing forward or riding switch. The Invader's one-of-a-kind Butter Zone makes for smooth, consistent buttering (Is there any other kind?) thanks to a slim profile just in front of and behind the binding. Line's durable fatty bases and edges take abuse and like it. The tough but lightweight maple Macroblock core gives you smooth, consistent flex and a killer lifespan for seasons of park and pipe destruction.
Bottom Line: Jib, stomp, and butter like it ain't no thang on the Invader.
till1080 is absolutely correct. these other reviews must have been written on the first day owning lines. Line makes nice graphics to sell their skis. Their skis are very light so you pay the price in the end when they aren't durable enough to withstand a small jump. My pair's edges popped out, delaminated, and the sole separated from under the bindings. Now I don't have any other skis and cant ski or return my invaders. Line has horrible customer service and wont return if "tampered with", abused, or if rails are done while using their skis. It is quite unacceptable. My brother is an identical skier to me and his scratch fs are the perfect ski for him and show absolutely no wear and tear.
bottom line: LINE is not a good company to deal with or for buying products.
Previous park skis I have ridden: Scratch FS, Fugitive, T Hall. The invader is the lightest park ski I have ridden so far. It is fun to turn, easy to butter, light and easy to spin, good pop and has nice thick edges. Expect your size to ride 3cms shorter than advertised. A similar ski I would recommend is the armada t hall. Super buttery and fun ski. The Fischer addict and habit are supposed to be similar as well, but stiffer.
As someone who was once sponsored by LINE, I've seen the evolution of how these skis are constructed. Never mind the insanely dumb idea for the integrated binding system, which has brought the company to its knees financially, these skis are awful. I've broken 15 pairs-in one season. The only decent skis LINE has made are the 1260's (which I can break over my knee) and the MTX Assassin -which barely got any recognition. The chronics were OK. But, this company builds flimsy skis-as do many of the other companies. It's like these people do not know a thing about skiing. Plus-they are/were horrible to those they sponsored. These skis broke the third time I took them out this season. All I was doing was skiing switch and hit a booter (not large at all), hucked a double back flip, landed, and the right ski snapped in half. Line should just disappear.
if your interested in this ski for the price, it is NOT WORTH IT. if these skis went for 50 dollars or less, it would be a good buy. they rip apart if your land a jump more than 5 feet in the air. their customer service is horrible, their website is sleezy, and they're skis are crap. BUY A SKI FROM ROSSIGNOL, K2, OR ARMADA. thank you for listening to me. If you buy these, and they rip apart, remember this review
