LEKI Enzian Trekking Poles - 1 Pair - 2005

Hit the trails in four-wheel drive with a set of Enzian Trekking Poles from Leki. The leaders of trekking and walking pole technology know how to make your travels a little easier. Using a set of Leki's poles gives you better traction and disperses the weight of a heavy backpack to make long trails more tolerable. Strong aluminum shafts lock securely when adjusted and collapse for easy portage when not in use. Steel Flextips and Performance Baskets reduce overall weight and can handle mile after mile of abuse, even if you can't.

Bottom Line: You can tour from Tacoma to Transylvania with a set of Leki poles.

Great poles!

By:
August 8, 2005

These poles were reasonably priced and did the job well. For the money I spent, they were exactly what I was looking for. You might want to purchase some rubber or plastic point covers to use when storing. They are not included in the price of the poles. Any of these poles would suit your needs. It just depends on how much you want to spend. These were super!

Outstanding Service

By:
July 19, 2005

I received my Leki poles two days after I placed my order, using the free "7-14 day" shipping. The poles work great, were at a great price and the service exceeded all expectations. I will be buying here again.

Gift for Husband

By:
June 21, 2005

I purchased the Leki Trekking poles for my husband at his request for his birthday. He was surprised and excited that he actually got what he asked for. He loves the poles and looks forward to many trips on which to use them.

Enzian Trekking Poles

By:
June 18, 2003

Great product. Great value. If you have never tried trekking poles, give these a chance. Easily adjustable, light weight, and a very attractive price make these the perfect choice for first time trekkers. The only fault I can find is that the wrist straps only adjust down to what fits a small man's wrist or medium woman's. Small women will find the straps a little loose on the trail. Small price to pay for a product this good.

Enzian Trekking Poles for Walkers

By:
June 23, 2003

Great pair of poles for first time pole walkers. Great price, and great fit. Be sure to get the Leki rubber tip if you are walking of hard surfaces. It makes the poles more stable, and also eliminiates the clicking when the pole hits the cement. BackcountryStore is a great place to shop online.

Enzian trekking poles

The only criticism I have of these poles concerns the adjustable wrist straps, which tend to loosen during use. Every 15-20 minutes, you have to pull the straps tight again. Otherwise, I'm happy with the poles. Something for travelers to keep in mind is that I think the Enzian poles collapse to the shortest length of any of the Leki poles, so they will fit (diagonally) in a 26-inch suitcase. Additional features on the more-expensive Leki poles prevent them from collapsing as much.

Tested on the Grand Canyon

By:
May 30, 2005

We just took a pair of these to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and back. These are not the anti-shock but we didn't miss it. They stood up to all kinds of dirt and grime and even sustained my wife falling and bending one of them. I bent it back and it works fine. Very durable - highly recommend.

Four legs are the best!

By:
March 28, 2005

These are my best gear purchase...ever. I have a bad hip, and these babies help me keep going far longer than I normally would. The shock absorbers work like a charm, and the weight distribution they offer makes life a lot more comfy. I don't know how I ever hiked without them.
