Lafuma Warm 'n Light 1000 Sleeping Bag: 20 Degree Down - 2006

The Lafuma Warm 'n Light 1000 20-Degree Down Sleeping Bag is ideal for those who want a lightweight bag for three-season camping or summer mountaineering. At a weight of only 2lb 3oz, the Warm 'n Light 1000 is insulated with 600+ fill down inside a water-repellant 40D ripstop nylon shell. A soft Tactel lining helps this bag warm up quickly when you crawl inside, and the zipper insulator keeps the cold from creeping in through the closure. When the weather gets really nasty, just seal up the insulated draft collar on this Lafuma sleeping bag, and enjoy a warm night's sleep.

Bottom Line: Stay warm and travel light with this excellent sleeping bag from Lafuma.

Great Value

Bag is very warm and comfortable. This bag seems to be well constructed (i.e. no loose feathers or ripping seams), lofts up quickly and well and compresses into a tiny package. On the other hand, if you're big and/or tall this may not be the bag for you; the bag is fairly narrow, which saves weight and enables it to compress into a smaller package, but may be too constricting for a bigger fella'. At approx 6' tall I comfortably fit in this bag, but I wouldn't recommend it for anyone taller. Also, with size 15 feet, the footbox is a little small, but I guess that is to be expected.

Overall, this is a great bag for the money, unless you are big and tall. Plus the bright orange color will ensure you never lose your sleeping bag!

Best Bang for Buck, good quality....

By:

In general high quality of manufacturing in my opinion. Good and warm. Doesn't have some of the features of the more expensive bags, but packs small and I have a feeling it will last a long time. Good and warm, it got into the low 40s several times and I was beyond comfortable. Great little bag. My only little grip is I don't like the square bottom sowing pattern and the hanging hooks are a little chincy. After I bought it, I did a close assessment of several other bags in the same temp range and there are certainly nicer/better, but I think probably hands-down the best bang for the buck...
