Kelty Lounge 4-Person 3-Season Tent

Set up your Kelty Lounge Tent quickly, and then kick back and relax while your friends wrestle with their tents. This palatial four-person tent has only three poles to contend with, and Kelty color-coded the pole sleeves for you—what could be easier? Mesh panels on the Lounge Tent let the breeze flow freely but not the bugs, and the rain fly keeps you dry while you play cards inside during a downpour. Pockets help four people stay organized.

Bottom Line: All you need now are a few lizards and a piano.

Hey Charlie,

Give the Kelty Warranty department a call: 800-535-3589. They can get you hooked up with replacement poles.

This tent goes up really easy with just one person. Color coded tabs make it simple. Plenty of room and enough height to stand up. Well designed. Everything, including footprint, attaches easily. Only complaint is that I prefer tents with two doors but that is not a big problem. This is a car camping tent.

I don't have specific experience with the Lounge 4, but I've had a couple Kelty tents in my day and have been quite disappointed with them. They're too heavy for their strength (which isn't that good anyway), the big ones have fiberglass poles that break, and the general design is just not created with strength in real weather conditions in mind. The inner flaps on the fly funnel water on to your gear and the whole thing is too tall for any kind of wind. Spend the money and go for a Big Agnes, Sierra Designs, Black Diamond, Marmot, North Face, or some other real alpine gear company.
