Kelty Comal Backpack - Women's - 3500cu in - 2007

Don't be fooled by the ridiculously low price: the Kelty Women's Comal Backpack is a burly pack that's comfortable to wear on weekend adventures. Kelty specifically engineered this pack with an ergonomic harness that fits smaller women and bigger kids; it adjusts to fit torsos between 12-17 inches. Stuff your sleeping bag, clothes, and tent into this top-loading 3500 cubic inch backpack and hit the trail for a lightweight trip. Two side zippered pockets, a large front pouch, and a top compartment provide lots of extra space for your rain shell, pack fly, and water filter, and you can slip two Nalgenes into the side mesh sleeves.

Bottom Line: Tired of shouldering a pack that fits like an oversized potato sack with straps? Kelty's Comal is the solution.

I am new to backpacking and purchased a Women's Kelty Comal.

I am new to backpacking and purchased a Women's Kelty Comal. My torso measurement is 16.5. I feel like this backpack is too long for me....I read the specs on this website which states the torso measurement is adjustable (12-17 in), however, the specs included with the backpack state 16-22 in. Everything else matches up...which torso measurement is correct?

This bag is well made, comfortable, and has lots of great features such as several pockets, gear loops, bottle holders and the detachable fanny pack. It worked extremely well for a weekend camping trip to the NC Appalachian Mountains and I look forward to using it more often.

one thing that I cant understand about this website is that very pertinant information is often omitted in the specs. For example, the weight of this pack! The question was even asked by song... and backcountry doesn't even answer the question.... They rely on their customers to provide this information. Since song... nor I have the answer to this question, Im sure backcountry lost at least two sales.
