Kelty Aztec Tent 2-Person 3-Season - 2006

The Kelty Aztec 2-Person 3-Season Tent is a backpacker's all-season buddy. The ridgeline design allows for plenty of floor space for two people without increasing the weight of the tent. The color-coded clip construction makes it super simple to set up. With a secure rain fly that doesn't flap and a large vestibule for your pack, the Kelty Aztec 2-Person Tent keeps you dry and helps you get a good night's sleep.

Bottom Line: Sprawl out, there is plenty of space for two in the Kelty Aztec tent.

Love this tent!

So easy to set up - SO easy! and comfortable inside. I LOVE all the mesh, you can really see the stars and the sky in this tent. In the morning it was nice and dry inside (we added the fly)though there was some moisture between the fly and the outside of the tent - might have been the way I set it up? Really quick break down and it packs up so small and lightweight! Absolutely no regrets.

Kelty Aztec - great tent

By:
June 23, 2006

I went camping with my Kelty Aztec tent for the first time over Memorial Day weekend. It was so easy to set up, I really liked that the tent poles were all connected, virtually making it one pole. There was enough sleeping room for me, my friend, and my dog. The vestibule was large enough for both our packs. On Sunday, it rained, hailed, and snowed for about an hour and a half. Crazy Colorado mountain weather and the tent pretty much stayed dry. There was some moisture on one side at the bottom, but there were no puddles, and by the time we went to bed, it had mostly dried up. I also have a synthetic 0-degree sleeping bag so that protected me from the wetness. Overall, I would highly recommend this tent. It's a great price, easy to set up and take down. It's a good size and weight when packed. It more than does the job.

Great Tent!

This tent is a great value. It is very light and packable. It fits me, my wife, and a small amount of gear comfortably. The vestibule is big enough for two small packs or one big pack. The tent material is pretty thin though, but this is the price you pay for a light tent. As such, you may want a footprint or otherwise to put under the tent if you are in a sharp or rocky environment. Overall this is a great value!

Kelty-you've done it again

By:
May 19, 2006

The first experience with my new tent was in 25 mile an hour winds. Needless to say, the tent didn't move at all in the wind. We never had to adjust anything. Proves my theory again that Kelty is top choice for camping gear!
