Karhu Jak BC Telemark and Alpine Touring Ski - 2007

Karhu's Jak BC Telemark and Alpine Touring Ski gives you all the power for mean lines on the way down without killing you on the skin up. Made with a lightweight core and carbon reinforcements, this ski loves to hike.The Jak BC's lightweight and environmentally-friendly Greenlight core and the Carbon Powerband allow the Jak BC Ski to achieve a high level of performance in a lightweight package. Karhu's carbon powerband adds strength underfoot without adding weight, so you can charge those turns without holding back. The progressive all-mountain sidecut makes it easier to initiate into and pop out of turns; you'll be cruising between trees in the backcountry while your buddies are still trying to see your line.

great BC ski

Jak BC is a great all-around lightweight backcountry touring ski with a moderately soft tail but substantial enough for long traverses with big packs. Climbs well, light swingweight, forgiving. Not a hucker ski. Has speed limit. My favorite all-condition touring ski ever.

Ultimate tele skis?

My first tele skis and I love them.
They're okay on the groomers, but excel in the deep stuff.
Very light and versatile.

I have the 2007 model which I think had better graphics.

If you're only going to have 1 set of skis... get these.
