With wide frames and a boxy design, the Kaenon Rhino Polarized Sunglasses provide excellent coverage and a confident look. Wear them for everything from chilling with your friends to downhill mountain biking. The Rhino's Light Transmission Control SR-91 polarized lenses are lightweight, scratch-resistant, and fight off glare like crazy. Seven-barrel stainless steel hinges combined with an injection-molded TR-90 frame make these Kaenon sunglasses incredibly durable. If you like large, full-coverage frames and top-quality materials, the Rhino Sunglasses fit the bill.
Bottom Line: Take life head on with the Kaenon Rhino Polarized Sunglasses.
I love the lens but the frame style was not comfortable for me. I can describe as brow forward, just different for me. Might be good for someone looking down outdoors...lifeguard, etc.
Of course, it's hard to tell how sunglasses are going to fit without trying them on. Having said this, these are large, full-coverage glasses. If you go to the Kaenon web-site, you can see how they look when they are actually being worn. http://kaenon.com/product/11_rhino.html
The Kaenon Rhino are by far the best glasses I have ever owned. I am in a boat atleast two day a week and must have quality glasses. With these glasses the clarity on water is amazing and the eye relief is like no other. At high speeds and my face in the wind I get no wind in my eyes that has caused tearing with other glasses. As far a backcountry they are the only on line shopping experiance that I have ever had that was enjoyable. I can't wait to make my next purchase.
These were ranked by Mens Journal as the best sunglass for golf. It is true, helps to get a true reading of the break in the green. Confidence in your vision of the pin etc. Great Glasses
These sunglasses are the best I've ever owned. They are durable and scratch resisitant while providing outstanding clarity and protection from the sun. I have the black g12's and they fit and feel perfect. I'm a bigger guy and have a good size schnoz, but they look and fit my face perfectly. I love the look and feel whether I'm hiking, at the beach or travelling. Best sunglasses I've owned and worth the money. I've owned REVO's and Bolle's and they don't hold a candle in durability and performance.
You can get these lenses in Rx - you need to call Kaenon and find out a place that will do it. They will hook you up, they have a whole Rx lab network. The SR-91 lens in Rx is amazing - they can also do it in any frame you want.
I am not sure if I got a bad pair or if the Rhino's simply did not work for me, but almost immediately after putting them on I got a headache. I tried to wear them several days in a row and there was some sort of distortion going on that just plain made me cross eyed. That said this site was great with the return. And I ordered a pair of the Kaenon Lewi's and have had NO trouble at all, the clarity is amazing.
I do a lot of sunglasses. The Rhinos are the pair I turned to most. The lens is a perfect for both dappled light when biking in the Sierra forests and balls out sunshine in the Virginia Mountains. They work perfectly at any and all times of the day, high noon or a post sunset dog run. I would easily give away all my other shades for this one. They are big for great coverage, but not the stupid, "Hey I'm pretending I'm a big star on drugs." I bike a lot so I am usually wary of lots of material around the hinge---I need to see what's behind me in a quick glance--but these aren't a problem because the glass coverage is so good. I got them for a great price on Steep and Cheap, but I'm ready to pay full for my next pair because they are so awesome. If I ever need a next pair. These won't scratch or blotch even dropping them on granite boulders on the Tahoe Rim.
I got the black Rhino C-12's and they are great for fishing. The color is perfect to set off the stream bottom and allow you to pick through the riffles to see fish. The only problem I have had is after hiking a bit and getting around a cold stream the sunglasses fog up. I think this is because they are so close fitting and wrap the entire face. I am going to try to use an anti-fog product to stop this, great glasses though!
Sweet style and performance. Even though these are not the sport specific frames they have been working great for me mountain biking. I have seen the SR-71 material and it is unique. It is actually flexible and impact resistant, but also has the optical clarity of glass. I ordered the Copper 12 tint. It gives incredible contrast and is not too dark in shaded conditions.
Sticker shock - ok we have all been there. I bought these on a whim - thinking that you get what you pay for! I could not have been more RIGHT! Kaenon eyewear is unreal. The clarity beat my polarized Smith & Oakley's by far. Kaenon is not for the casual want-to-be eyewear user, and the SR-71 polarized lens is amazing. If you are only going to put these on your head & go out on the town - then buy another brand. If you are a hard core optics aficionado, then Kaenon is the way to roll-out! Kaenon eyewear is simply the BEST!
