The Kamik Rocket Boot for kids is a techy snow boot for tiny feet. The Rocket Boots are rated to -40C/-40F, meaning they're guaranteed to keep your child's feet warm no matter what winter weather you and your little buddy encounter. The tall boot cuff has a bungee cord to keep snow out, and there's a mid-foot VELCRO strap adjustment that ensures a snug fit. Kamik's Yukon TPO sole provides traction and insulation. When your child comes in from a day in the snow, you can remove the Rocket's liner for quick drying.
Not sure who you're talking to specifically, but yes. If Kamik says they'll be warm to that low, they will be. Wear some hefty socks obviously, but these have a space blanket in them, for cryin out loud. They'll do great.
I was having a heck of a time finding brown boots for my daughter here in Canada. When I searched this website and found these I was thrilled. The price was reasonable, as was the shipping, and the boots are even cuter in person than they are on the website. Thank you
My twin grandsons (Jake and Boone--named from the Blues Brothers movies-- which gives you some kind of idea about the kind of test they will put these boots through)loved the boots-to quote "Nana, these boots rock"!!! The feet are warm and dry and you can get them on and off without much effort. Perfect for 9 year olds!
I bought these for my son and I purchased his shoe size, the size was fine but he complained that they hurt his feet. They did get the job done. It might be wise to go up on the size when you purchase this boot.
Backcountry.com doesn't sell the liner sold separately. If you're dying to only purchase the liners, you can try contacting Kamik directly by email. info@kamik.com-- but $45 for a new pair of boots will probably equal the cost of new liners + shipping.
My son used this boot all day at a sledding/hiking trip and had an awesome time. I was happy with the traction it gave him and there were no complaints from him at all! Great quality boot!
These are great boots in that they keep my kids feet very warm. I have three kids and we bought these Kamik boots for all them...they work great in the snow. The only complaint my kids had was that the top of the boot rubbed against their shins and hurt. We have tried to resolve this issue using really thick, tall socks! Overall they are good boots!
This is the second pair of these boots that I have bought for my daughter. They keep her warm and dry, no complaints at all! I will most likely buy another pair in the next size for next year too!
The boots fit perfectly. I can't say how they are for warmth and dryness yet as we haven't been in the snow yet. I just hope they still fit my kids in December. They look and feel great. I did order 1 size larger for some extra growing room, and that seems to be fine.
