Want to take your sandals out on the trail but afraid they can't stand up to the rocks, uneven terrain, and dirt? Slip on the Keen Zerraport Sandal and take on any trail. Keen took a sandal design and gave it a burly trail hiking sole so you get the cooling benefits of a sandal and the support of a hiker. A compression molded EVA midsole cushions your foot on that uneven terrain, and the dual adjust webbing support system gives you a custom fit and keeps your foot where it should be. Keen gave the Zerraport Sandals multi-directional outsole lugs with razor siping, which grabs slippery river rocks and rocky trails alike.
Bottom Line: Take a hike in your sandals when you wear your Keen Zerraport Sandals.
Very comfortable, strange looking in a very good kind of way. These could be worn on day hikes instead of hiking shoes and when you get to water just take off your socks. Then as soon as they are dry add socks and you once again have ventilated hiking shoes.
Very good cushioning. Much different from Chaco sandals in this respect. Supportive for a sandal. Toe guard is a good safety feature and, of course, helps if your toes' appearance is not 100%. A little difficult to grasp the main strap at times. Back strap does not stay up for me. Seems to be positioned too low. But over all, very good sandals. I wear them mainly around the house. Very comfortable.
Bought these Terrasport sandals after wearing a pair of Newports for some time. The Terrasport, however, is an altogether different sandal, so take it seriously. Although simple in design, the continuous strap secures tightly at each loop, contouring to your foot perfectly. Use the back Velcro-adjustable strap to secure your heel and position your foot forwards or back. Then, hit the trail with or without socks. The underlying support is suitable for backpacking, while the sandal design offers a sense of freedom and lack of constraint. I haven't found a better sandal than the Terrasport. Doesn't get the press that other models do, but it offers greater versatility and a more secure fit. Your feet will love these!
My hiking companions never heard me scream from a stubbed toe on our recent 5 days in the Gros Ventre Wilderness Area. Thank Keen for that. And I am not the most experienced or graceful of customers. The sandals have drawn a number of questions off the trail, too. My answer is I love em, but wish they had a little more arch support.
These are my 5th pair of Keens. I just replaced my sandals after losing them. They were what got me on the Keens bandwagon. These are pretty different, but after wearing them for a few weeks I feel just as good about them as I did about my first ones. So far so fantastic.
Possibly the best investment I have made for my hiking, camping, and rafting adventures. Very light weight, dries quickly, and a very versatile shoe. It holds well on wet surfaces. The toe guard helps protect your feet against rocks and stumps under water. I highly recommend this shoe. I will wear nothing but Keens from now own. I love my Boston II's and I love these.
The Keen Zerraport might be the best investment I have made for summer shoes in several years. It is a light weight hiking shoe/water shoe/sandal. It is very versatile. It dries very quickly for when hiking through water or any sort of rafting or kayaking. It holds fairly well on slick wet rock. I have only had one pair of shoes hold better and they were a felt lined sole. Can be worn as a backless sandal because the back strap can be removed when using these as a more casual shoe.
I have heel spurs and bone spurs on the top of my feet and these Zerraports are more comfortable than my bedroom slippers. I may look dorky, but I bought 4 pair and plan to wear them this fall and winter with socks!
If these had existed before I bought my Keen Newports I would have bought these. Super comfy and less straps for more air circulation around my foot make my stinky feet happy. I love keen shoes as I have weird feet and these things are great. I was worried that the strap may cause some problems around my foot but so far so good. I recommend these to anyone. I've been in the water and hiking up scree without problems.
I love my Newport keens so I bought this for my boyfriend about 6 months ago, because he gets hot sweaty feet the Zerraports seemed ideal because of the "openness" of the design. They were great, until the slit of the rubber/plastic part which holds the strap to the shoe sole has ripped. Granted he wore these shoes everyday but I've worn my Newports every few days for the last few years and they are still going great. Will be buying him a pair of Venices as a replacement.
This is my 4th pair of Keen shoes and have quickly become my summer Keens. I love the look and comfort of Newports but they can be really hot on warm days. The Zerraports give me all the protection and comfort of Newports but with much better airflow. I've worn these sandals while flyfishing in streams and even in boggy beaver ponds. The strap system does a better job than the Newport system of keeping these attached to my feet when I step into a muddy bog.
I practically lived in a pair of Keen Newports for two years. They were amazing sandals and took a lot of abuse. After they died I figured I'd buy another pair, but the new color choices kind of suck so I put off buying them. Then I saw the Zerraports. I was drawn to the odd look and cool colors. I figured I'd give them a chance. So far the fit is secure and I can wear them for 10 hours without any discomfort. If I get two years out of them I'll be a happy customer. Hopefully they'll prove to be as good as Newports. Note to Keen: Bring back the original Newport colors. The new ones are lame. Also, that textured leather you're making Newports out of now is lame, too. Looks like old people sandals.
I bought mine with the impression that it should be the same size as the shoes. it isn't. buy at least half a size bigger. other than that they look great...
I've really enjoyed these sandals. I haven't had a chance to try them at the river yet but I think they are going to be great. It is really nice having a protected toe and they feel very secure on my feet. I don't think I would say these are the most airy of sandals and will put a damper on your feet in the tan line department too.
I really enjoyed these shoes. Very lightweight, and perfect for after hike wear. A very comfortable way to end the day. I can wear these all day long and still love wearing them. The soles are very grippy so i would say goa head and take a light hike.
