Introducing Keen's first vegan shoe, the Women's Ventura Canvas Shoe. It's true—the Venturas have never eaten meat or dairy, and Keen made them out of natural canvas uppers, recycled aluminum eyelets, and removable jute, cork, and latex footbeds. The non-marking rubber outsole keeps you upright on slick surfaces.
Bottom Line: Perhaps your Keen Venturas would like a taste of that baba ganoush you're devouring.
How do these shoes stand up to water? My shoes are falling apart and I need something that won't get soaked through really fast like many canvas shoes do.
After I got these shoes I stopped wearing my other tennis shoes. These are very comfortable and look very cute with long boot cut jeans. I even walked my dog in them with some slight running and they were still comfortable. When I first got them I thought they might have been too big (I bought my usual size) but after wearing them, I realized that they are just nice and roomy but my feet don't slide around. Also I love that they are made from recycled or renewable resources and no animals had to die to make them. I hope Keen keeps making non leather shoes so that I can keep buying them!
I love these shoes! They are so comfortable from Day 1, go with anything casual! I bought my first pair, tan, then fell in love with the denim ones! I do wear my orthotic with them just in case, but I can walk and wear these all day. I get compliments on both pairs every time I wear them, with socks or without -- the problem is, now I want them in other colors too!
this is my third pair of Keens and once again they are very comfortable and also cute. i have degenerative arthritis in all my joints so comfort is very important. i can walk all that i want and my feet never hurt or get tired. i also have the zerraport sandal in size 10 and these are 10's and they fit good. great shoes!
I own many Keen shoes, yet these are by far the greatest. This shoe is very comfortable, stylish and washable. I also like that they are environmentally friendly, something that is very important to me these days.
Write your question here...I have bad feet and need something for that. What shoe do you recommend? I have planters fashionaisha so my heel and back of foot are in pain all of the time. It is really hard to stand for any lenght og time but must with my job. I also walk a lot with my job.
birkenstocks helped heal my plantar fasciitis.i swear by them..., however, they don't last as long as you'd think (by the price), but they will strengthen your feet, expecially if you wear them barefoot! good luck!
Have you tried Dansko clogs? I've had running-induced plantar fasciitis for years, and I used to wait tables which meant walking 15+ miles in a day. Danskos saw me through. With your issues I'd highly recommend trying on a bunch of different brands and seeing which ones work the best for you. Most of the shoes Backcountry carries are good for your feet but they all fit a little differently.
I bought these for a 5-day trip to Disneyland and they were fantastic! Very comfortable after walking in them for miles, and I did not take the time to "break them in" before the trip. I am normally a size 10, I ordered a 10 and they fit like a glove.
The only drawback is that it rained heavily on our last two days, and the shoes are pretty faded now after only a week of use. I had the black pair, so maybe the lighter colors would fare better. All in all, I would highly recommend this shoe.
These shoes are very comfortable and light: Good to travel with! Wore them all over Europe!! Plus, I enjoy that they are made out of recycled materials!
these are so comfortable i had to have another pair in a color that would go with more things. the most comfortable shoe i have ever worn are keens. i highly recommend them.
Keen shoes tend to run a half-size small. I would order a half-size up for your normal and give it a shot. And yes, this sizing seems pretty consistent within the brand.---------------I own quite a fee pairs of Keens (sandles, shoes, light hikers). These are very comfortable, I've been wearing them to work, which means being on my feet most of the day on covered concrete (i.e. in a hospital)People should be aware, however, that there is little (if any) arch support.Otherwise, they are great for a casual shoe.
I've always loved keens and now that I have a chunky orthopedic shoe insert I love them even more because they fit so well. These shoes are comfortable and cute, but you should give yourself a day or two to wear them in. I first wore mine walking around chicago and my feet were sore by the end of the day, but now they're all broken in and I love them!
For a change with Keen I was able to order my usual shoe size and have them fit just fine. The toebox is roomy. Flatter footbed and less arch support than some other Keens, but the insoles are easy to remove if you need to put in your own after-markets. Took a day of walking around at work to break them in, but are the first shoes I grab out of the closet to put on for walking around town.
These are my first keens and I'm so pleased! The toe bed is nice and wide, and the insole has great moderate support. I get tons of complements on them and will be buying more keens in the future!
Also, they run true to size, I'm reading a lot of reviews that say keens are sized small or large, but the 8.5 feels like 8.5.
I have a two pairs of Keens like these. I love them. They are comfortable, cute, and durable. What more could you want in a shoe? I get lots of compliments when ever I wear them. Fit is true to size for me (I wear a size 9). Get them. You'll love them.
These were comfortable right out of the box. I love the light orange color, and I am ready to buy the same shoe in blue.
Can't wait until Wednesday when I can wear the new shoes to the gym. They will be perfect for walking on the treadmill, and I bet they will get some comments because of the unique color.
I bought these in the Brittany Blue and loved them right out of the box. I wear a prescription orthotic and Keen's are the only brand my surgeon will recommend for me now. These are stable, comfy, modern and awesome. I went and bought another pair in suede within a week!!
I got the natural color of these and I love them. They're super comfortable and the rubber sole they use makes you feel like you can walk all day in them. They have a nice little bounce to their step. I also love how they came with 2 different color laces!
These shoes are super rad! They are really roomy and super cute! Wore them to a concert and my feet were super comfy the whole time. If these shoes go on sale again I'm gonna buy the other colors!
Very comfortable and cute shoe. They're perfect for running around with the toddlers and can even handle some small puddle jumping with the big rubber tread. They make your feet look surprisingly small given the big rubber toe. I usually take an 8.5 to a 9 and the 9 fit perfectly.
I love these shoes they are so comfy and cute! I normally wear a 7 to 7.5 and so purchased the 7.5 but they seem just a tiny bit long. Also, when I wear thin socks the shoe rubs my ankle at the back.
This is my first pair of Keen shoes. I have some Keen's flip-flops that are comfy, but I had never tried their full shoes.
I absolutely love them! Nice roomy toe box (I hate pinched toes and good support without looking boxy or too serious. The color (orange) is fun without being bright or pastel-ly. Just a nice, modern orange that goes really well with jeans or olive or khaki pants.
I usually get a 9 or 9 1/2. When I read the reviews, got confused by all of the conflicting size info, so I went to a local sports store and tried on the only Keens they had, a water sandal, and found that the 9 was perfect. I went with it and ordered a 9. I'm so glad I did... they fit perfectly. They're not tight anywhere and not sloppy-loose. They're just right.
I get compliments on them, but more importantly, they're my new favorite casual shoe. I'm going to buy more in other colors.
Always worn running shoes or cross trainers, so was hesitant at 1st. But these are so comfy it's unreal! Very roomy and cute. I bought my usual shoe size.
Really cute shoe, nice to have a spring-y color. I've bought other Keens in size 8, but in this style, I needed a 7.5. These did not have any cushiony feel, particularly in the heel. I bought a pair of Scholls inserts, and now they're fine. I did wear them around the house for sometime before I took them on a trip to FL, where they did just fine at a state park, and nature preserve.
They do run a bit small, so I ordered 1/2 size up from my regular size and they fit perfect! Totally comfortable and so cute! I get so many comments on them!
