KEEN Summit County Winter Boot - Women's - 2008

When you head up to the ski cabin for a sojourn, be sure to bring along your KEEN Women’s Summit County Winter Boots. KEEN waterproofed these leather and mesh boots so snow and slush don’t soak through when you tromp to the wood pile. Because toes get cold easily, KEEN added more insulation to the toe box than to the rest of the boot for toastiness during winter walks and snowshoeing trips. Rubber outsoles harden as temps drop so as to give you solid grip on packed snow.

Bottom Line: The winter boot for fashionable yet burly mountain women.

Great compromise!

For running around town, walking the dogs, or just playing in the snow, these are awesome. They're also a great, warm, non-bulky alternative to a trailrunner for snowshoeing. They accomodate wide feet well.

Beautiful and rugged

These boots run larger than my other Keen shoes. I put in a liner and wear heavy winter socks so they fit fine now. They're great for wide feet and/or someone who has a wide ball of the foot, like me. I wore these snowshoeing around the Teton Pass this past winter and they were great; they kept my foot very warm and dry.

Keens are great for women with wide feet. I swear by them - very roomy toe box.

Absolutely! They're not bad for orthotics and they're also very good if you've got wide feet so you should be good to go!

Amazing, but high and stiff backs

By:
February 10, 2009

I absolutely love these boots!!! Wide, warm, wonderful! It did not take me very long to break the backs in, but they were stiff enough to cause a bit of chaffing! Best purchase this winter because of the Minnesota chills and the quick dog walks (just before they pick up there paws and stop walking)!!!

Purrrrrrfect

These boots are perfect for my wide feet and high instep although a bit stiff in the back. They also keep my feet warm at the arena and outdoors too.
