Why keep it to the paved nature trails? Opt for the road less taken in the Keen Women’s Ridgeline Trail Running Shoe. The Ridgeline Trail Running Shoe’s sturdy structure is undeterred by rocks, gravel, and steep alpine paths. It cushions your feet from the harsh impact of running, while cradling and supporting your heels. A multi-directional 3mm lug outsole offers mountain-goat-like traction, and a clever asymmetrical flex lace system won’t bunch up on you. You’re busy keeping your heart rate up—slips and stops have no place in your plans.
Bottom Line: Ridgelines offer the best views—so go chase ‘em.
Write your question here... Can I order the shoes, you send me the price and I pay for them with a personal check. Then when you get the check, you send the shoes out.
I suppose you can order whatever you want, and the price is listed right above. If you want to use a personal check, you might want to contact Backcountry to see what all needs to happen for that to work.
For running, these shoes will go on and off road. The nubs are not too nubby, but having said that, they have fantastic grip! The weight is super light and the mesh construction allows for great breathability while coushioning your foot. I suggest these shoes for narrow feet. If you have a wide foot these shoes will feel very snug overall and not very comfortable while running. I ordered a 6, which is my normal size, and I wear them with very thin micro crew running socks. A thicker sock would probably make them too tight. Take them out for a few long walks to break them in before jogging or running long distances.
I've been wearing Keen Briggs for months. LOVE THEM!! Given up all other shoes/sneakers. Are these Keen Ridgeline anywhere near as comfortable. Briggs are being discontinued... Fall shoe. I know the intended purpose for these shoes are different but just asking. Thanks.
Would these be good for a narrow foot? I've found many KEENs to be on the wide end of the spectrum, but I think some of their women's shoes are meant to be narrower than others....
Merb,A comparable shoe that runs more narrow is the Vasque Velocity http://www.backcountry.com/store/VSQ0113/Vasque-Velocity-VST-GTX-Trail-Running-Shoe-Womens.htmlMahalo, Sumo
Go 1/2 up--Not trail " running" shoes, b/c no ankle support I would not use for rough terrain--pretty flat footed shoe with little cushion--No recommendation for marketed purpose
Doesn't look like it, the fabric is webbing and mesh. If waterproof is a necessity look for a shoe that has a waterproof material or Gore-Tex but remember you usually sacrifice ventilation for waterproof.
