KEEN Ridgeline Trail Running Shoe - Men's - 2008

Opt for the road less taken in the Keen Men’s Ridgeline Trail Running Shoe. The Ridgeline Trail Running Shoe’s sturdy structure is undeterred by rocks, gravel, and steep alpine paths. It cushions your feet from the harsh impact of running, while cradling and supporting your heels. A multi-directional 3mm lug outsole offers mountain-goat-like traction, and a clever asymmetrical flex lace system won’t bunch up on you. You’re busy keeping your heart rate up and needn’t worry about what your feet are doing. Just lace up the Ridgeline Trail Running Shoes and put them on auto-pilot.

Bottom Line: Ridgelines lead to summits. Get after it.

Comfortable shoe but quality not up to snuff

By:

I purchased this shoe about a month ago and have been wearing them as my every day shoe. I have not used them in any rugged situation or abused them in any way. They are very comfortable and I love how the shoes look. To my astonishment after just a month of light use all four of the plastic lace eyelets popped off and the yellow coloring at the heal of the shoe started to chip. I was very surprised that this happened because I have had very good luck with keens in the past. If you are going to fork out $90 for a good pair of trail running shoes do not buy these.

comfy shoes

Took a few weeks to break in unlike most other Keens, and the sole still feels a bit stiff. Other than that these shoes are comfortable. I haven't taken them trail running yet, plan to over Christmas so this isn't a full review. The design is original, the materials are top-notch and the construction appears to be solid. It breathes ok though not as much as a running shoe or as much as the pictures suggest. It seems to have a light insulating backing of some kind, not sure why. If I'd known ahead of time I'd have probably gone with the waterproof Shellrock (if it can't breathe then it might as well be an all-weather shoe). I'll be able to say more after I take it outside though. Overall I'm happy with the purchase, and the extremely fast shipping as always.
