KEEN Oregon PCT Hiking Boot - Women's

Boots don’t do much good if you have no place to hike, so KEEN made the Women’s Oregon PCT Hiking Boots with all-natural materials to cut down on your carbon footprint. A combination of leather, nylon, and synthetic fabrics help the upper take the abuse of a burly hike while providing excellent breathability. Count on the waterproof breathable KEEN.DRY insert to hold off moisture when conditions get a bit on the wet side. KEEN even added non-marking soles to give you top-notch traction on the trails without scuffing your kitchen floor when you get home.

Bottom Line: All-natural footwear.

This is the Best boots for me

By:
September 4, 2009

My feet are wider than average.
I felt pain in the little toe with every boots I ever used.
But this boots don't make me pain for 4 days mountaineering. It was all right in the light rain and puddle.
And these are not heavy.
I want to buy this boots next time too.
Sorry for my poor English...

awesome boot

these boots are great. i just spent a year leading trail crews in the southwest and my boots lasted the whole year...not the story with the boots of other folks. while others were replacing their boots after three or four months of use, mine just kept on kicking. not only were they comfortable hiking long distances, but they also stood up to the serious abuse boots receive from building trail. i took the boots out of the box on day one and wore them almost everyday working and hiking all year...the comfort lasted the whole way. i'm very impressed.

I ordered this boot a 1/2 size larger than my regular shoe size, which was recommended by the sizing chart. Unfortunately it was closer to "true to size", and felt too big. The toe box definitly had more room in it than most Keens I've tried, which also made the boot a little too big for me. This might be the boot you're looking for.

Finally I found great boots

By:
May 15, 2009

I did a Wilderness Travel Course over the past winter and needed to find a pair of boots that would fit my hard to comfort feet as well as hold up in the snow while backpacking. I had so many issues with other boots from cutting off circulation to rubbing the heel to squeezing my toes, nothing was fitting me properly...I exhausted at least 6 brands of boots...then I remembered how lovely Keens felt on my feet and hoped they had something for the winter. After some research and customer service, I found these. After breaking them in on long hikes and into snow travel and finally snow camping, I was impressed by how well they held up as well as how nicely they kept the cold out. Perfection! Typcially I wear 9 in Keens, I wore 9 in these also.

Excellent Boot

These are great boots, be sure to order your true shoe size, but beware if you have high...'cause they may be a bit tight...but not to worry, they break in nicely. Excellent traction, I would definately recommend these!

Love the Keen Oregon. They are a heavy boot so be prepared for the extra workout. Great for someone like me with major foot problems. Very comfy.

Bad Seam Placement

By:
January 19, 2009

Had to return these for 2 reasons. For once, these Keen's were actually true to size, so the 1/2 size larger that I ordered was too big. This might also be why the box toe had more room in it than normal. The major thumbs down on these boots would be for the unbearable seam placement, that, for an unknown reason, sit and rub in the middle of my ankle bone. The pressure of this seam was noticeable even while standing still. My guess is a hike in the backcountry would only lead to a very unpleasant blister and/or raw skin.
