Write your question here... I broke my foot recently and I need a shoe that will be supportive enough. I like these shoes because I hate wearing socks and I'm going on vacation soon to the beach and I was wondering if anybody knows if these shoes give good support?

Keen's in general are a great brand of shoe, plus they last forever. I spent 3 weeks hoofing it around for hours per day in Thailand and never once did my feet hurt.

Like the color (Peridot/Shadow), quite comfortable, true to size and plenty of support. Only complaint is while they can be worn with socks, they look painfully stupid. Without socks, they can get pretty warm.

I need a pair of shoes for a geology tour through Mammoth Lakes

I need a pair of shoes for a geology tour through Mammoth Lakes area. I haven't hiked in a while and will probably not do a lot in the future. Basically I am saying I need shoes that will be comfortable for the one fabulous weekend but no so expensive that I will regret the purchase. P.S. I have wide feet that love extra arch support.

In keen boots I always wear a half size larger than my "normal" size. In this case, going a half size up was too large. I am in the process of exchanging them for a smaller size. Not sure how I feel about the thin straps, but overall they seem like sturdy shoes, but not as clunky as a hiking shoe. Will write an update once I wear the replacements...
