Mmm memory foam. The Keen Women’s Erin Ballerina Shoe comforts the bottom of your foot with memory foam and comforts your earth-friendly brain with a recycled PU footbed. Full-grain leather and mesh on the top of this shoe mix style and breathability while the lightweight outsoles handle wet sidewalks and cobblestone streets.
Am i able to walk around new york city all day and then wear with a dress at night? (the reason i purchased).
No, it's not an all day pounding the pavement shoe -- the support on the inner arch isn't enough for me (that's where the shoe is a bit wide..if you got the version with a strap, it would likely be better) but i can walk comfortably in these for a while, and they look good with lots of my clothes.
Write your question here...i'm thinking about buying the ikeen ballerina shoe...never bought keen before...does anyone know if they run big? I normally wear a 10.5 women's, or a 10 if they run big, or 11 if they run small....thanks
Keens run slightly wider than marked I believe but generally they run fairly true to size. I have the Seattle, Chelsea, Amsterdam, Sienna Ballerina and Mary Jane and the Erin Mary Jane. All of them but the Amsterdam fit what I would consider true to size.
I would consider the Erin to probably be slightly wider than a regular width shoe, but the length is probably on target.
I was so excited to wear these for the first time. I got a ton of compliments on how cute they were, but by the end of the day my feet were a little raw from wearing them with no socks. I agree that the stitches rub on your foot and also my heel was rubbed, not enough to cause a blister though. I'm going to give them a chance and break them in. Hopefully, after they're not so stiff, the rubbing will go away, because they look funny if you try to wear them with socks....trust me.

Well, the pros outweigh the cons here. These are a wee bit wide in the heel in my normal size (6.5). But, the sunnyside color is darker and more subtle than pictured, and they are very lightweight and packable. The soles are nice and grippy and there is subtle toe protection as well. The mesh is breathable. The footbeds are cushy and nicely striped. I think these will work for a cute slip-on travel shoe.
My first pair of Keens and I am quite disappointed. The shoes while very soft are very wide, the design stitching (the three XXXs) on the side creates blisters in thin socks (though this problem can be solved by wearing thicker socks). I also had a blister on my right heel just after wearing them half a day (something I normally don't experience, as I have a pretty "standard" feet).
I considered returning them as I feel like "I am swimming in them" but since I had them brought to me to Czech Republic I don't want to go through the hassle of shipping them back to US, so I'll give them a shot and see if I start losing them or if they get more comfortable with time. Probably a great shoe for someone with wide feet.
Great as far as width goes; shoes run about 1/2 size larger than what I normally wear; the top stitching across the front of the shoe rubbed blisters on both of my feet and heel of shoes also rubbed blister on both feet. Very pleased with color and style of shoe.
