KEEN Bandon Lace WP Shoe - Men's - 2008

The KEEN Men’s Bandon Lace WP Shoe may have a casual look, but the waterproof breathable inserts save your hide when the weather gets wet. You can’t go wrong with a full-grain leather upper when you want to kick back and chill for the weekend. KEEN used its non-marking rubber outsoles, so you don’t scuff up the floor when you head inside.

Bottom Line: Casual looks with technical style.

Heal wear after using them for a short period.

Heel wear after a short period of use (some weeks). It is not acceptable for a high price, first rate pair (?) of technical urban shoes.

Awesome Shoes

By:

What comfortable shoes! Out of the box they fit well with ample arch support. I really like the roomy toe box. The only negative is the low heel cup. The top of the shoe that covers the heel is too short so it slips a bit when walking. I haven't found it to be a serious problem but a bit annoying.

The leather (black) is high quality with a very nice texture. It is dramatically better than the low quality leather that I've seen on the 'cheaper' Richmond style by Keen.

The Bandon Lace styling is unusual, but it also drew my interest in buying the shoes. They are great with jeans but too casual for what I would consider business casual.

The shoestrings have a waxy coating which keeps them from slipping through the day.

I haven't tested the weather proof aspect other than the rubber sole which easily can navigate wet pavement and shallow puddles.

These shoes are one of my favorite pairs although rather expensive. I highly recommend them.

6th pair...

I love keens- sandles, shoes- love them all- This shoe is really nice and sturdy- heavier and stiffer than the others, but that is what I wanted. Rides a bit low on the ankle, but still will be my favorite brand-

Are Keens keener?

By:

Strong leather smell. The shoe looks durable but I've noticed some heal wear even after only a few weeks of use. I hope the sole is not disposable! If the soles disintegrate before the heels wear out, I will not buy this brand again. To write a proper review, I need to tell you what they look and feel like 8 months from now. Right now they are comfortable and feel more like a sandal then a shoe. But we will have to wait and see how long they maintain their comfort and good looks. I hope I have found a sole mate, and not a one-night-stand.

First rate shoe

This is my 3rd pair of Keen's and like the rest of them, I love them. I have flat feet and the shoes are very comfortable. I have the brown (Pinecone) and they go well with jeans and chino's. Can be easily worn in the office on Friday's. Highly recommended.
