When your adventures to Grandma's house take you through the river and through the woods, the Keen Women's Arroyo Hiking Shoe's Foot lace Capture System design combines the comfort and stability of a trail runner with the breathability of a sandal. The Arroyo's Metatomical footbed cradles your foot, whether your trail takes you through the wall-to-wall river hiking of the Zion Narrows or a short day hike just outside Durango. Built with multi directional 4mm lugs, the Arroyo will help you stay planted wherever you go. The Arroyo's Aegis Microbe shield keeps bacteria at bay so you don't have to put up with that nasty trail funk. All of Keen's leather uppers are machine washable, so after you plow through some desert mud, one trip through the washer will do the trick.
Bottom Line: If you need the protection of a trail runner with the breathability of a sandal, slip into the Keen Women's Arroyo Hiking Shoe.
I bought theese shoes in hope that I would be able to use them.
I have a problem with finding shoes that I can use because of back- and feet problem. But the first day I used theese shoes it was like I was walking on clouds that´s how good they are.
I have not had any problem with my back or my feets since I started using theese shoes now in december.
I LOVE THESE SHOES!! I cannot recommend these enough! They are true to size, fit like a glove the first time! Easy on/off. Great for hiking, biking, or just plan walking. I love them because I can go on a 5mile hike, romp around in the creek with my dog, and they dry quickly. They definitely are a spring- fall shoe... a little chilly with the side openings, but I just wear the KEEN Targhee ll Hiking Shoe in the winter!!
I bought a pair of these a few years back and have literally worn them out. I haven't seen any around and they seem hard to find. Are they still being manufactured?
These are the best all around shoes I have ever bought. They are super comfortable, support your feet, and allow ventilation. For sure I will get another pair if I can find them.
It is showing me to pictures of the same shoe but different colors. Deep Lichen / Sweet Pea is the only color offered. What colors is that consist of. I don't want to buy a shoe where I dislike the color. thank you
Deep Lichen/Sweet Pea is the main photo, in the row titled "1 More". The photos in the row titled "9 Detail Views" are detail photos of the same shoe in a different color. If you order a shoe now in the Deep Lichen/Sweet Pea color, it will be the color pictured in the main photo and the "1 More" photo, NOT the color shown in the "9 Detail Views" photos.
These are the best all around shoes I have ever bought. They are super comfortable, support your feet, and allow ventilation. For sure I will get another pair if I can find them.
Good arch support and comfortable. Great hiking shoe for warmer weather & in cooler temps I'll just wear socks with them. I love the reflective material too.
Is there any metatarsal support in the foot bed? I get a pinching pain that goes from my heel to the metatarsals. I wear a foot support which helps. Thanks!
These have an insert inside that you can take to your specialty store to get your metatarsal pad added! That is why I am considering them. I have really, really high arches and I have to get ALL my shoes from a specialty store and get arches and met lift pads added. But these are so comfy, I may not have to get them modified. I just wish they had better colors, like the Newport that comes in pink :(
These were my first pair of Keens and I love them. Very light and definitely breathable. These are so comfortable that I've started using them as just everyday shoes.
Just perfect for hiking or just city walking. Regardless of your lifestyle, you got to try these. I love the fact that I don't have to tie and untie laces all the time. The best part about Keen shoes is that they are a bit wider than other brands and so much more comfortable. The feet can breathe, whether you wear them with socks or without.
I have had a pair of the Arroyo and one of the Boulder (very similar style and fit). They are the greatest because they are light and versatile and they look cool. For travel, they are a much better option than clunkier types of athletic shoes -- good for hiking, jogging, walking around town. The fit is true to size. I have a pair of the Keen sandals and I don't like them as much -- not enough support in the heel and ankle. So here's the question -- why can't I find these shoes any more? Is Keen discontinuing the best thing they've got going?
I have used previously a predecessor of this sandal and it my all time favourite hiking wear. I have put thousands of kilometers on on different trails and wear it from May to October. It is sturdy enough to provide good protection all around, has a really good thread, the bed is comfortable and it is open enough to prevent my feet from overheating in the summer. I am so glad Keen decided to bring it back, I can finally retire my old ones.
I bought my first pair of these for a hiking trip in Italy last year and I loved them so much that I had to have a second pair! I have lots of shoes but these are among my top faves!
I bought a pair of these for myself and a pair for my teenage daughter who is going hiking this summer. I had to exchange mine for a size smaller (I ordered hers smaller to begin with.) I love the way they feel, although I agree they're a little wide in the heel. The stretch laces don't bother me much, although I do have to adjust them periodically over the course of a day.
My daughter has yet to put them on - my guess is they're just a little clunky for her taste.
The shoes are comfortable right out of the box and true to size - something that is hard for me to find. The soles are sturdy and the shoes are light - a great combination.
This summer I wore these shoes to work everyday, for hiking, biking, river-walking, and everything in between. They work for everything with no blisters, no discomfort, no change of shoes needed! I love these shoes and highly recommend them for whatever use that you can think of!
These shoes are amazing. The color is GREAT!! I am an avid camper who participates in hiking the dunes, beaches, Trails and even fast paced walks on the road... I couldn't have better multi-terrain shoes than these Arroyo Hiking shoes. Worth every penny. I am a huge fan.
I love these shoes! They are super comfortable and they have great support. I wear them everywhere; to hike, to bike, and just around town. I wish they would come out with a boot as comfortable, that breathes as well, and dries as quickly! I highly recommend this shoe!
Like all Keens, they feel great right out of the box and need no breaking in. The only problems: the heel is wide and my heel keeps slipping out. I have to wear socks for the shoes to fit. The other problem: the laces don't tie, but have a slide to tighten them, and they loosen easily. Periodically, I have to stop and tighten the laces.
These shoes are super comfortable, even in cold weather (just wear socks). I have wide feet, and Keens always fit me well. They also have more than average support in the arch and heel area. Highly recommend them!
I love these, slip them on, and you are trail ready, and for Zion NP, great for the Subway and the Narrows. The only drawback is that they develop a funk smell after a while- solution? Odor eaters.
