K2 Brigade Snowboard - 2008

Unlike major-league baseball players, it's totally legit to add performance-enhancing materials to snowboards. The K2 Brigade Snowboard combines steroid-like performance with slick urban stylings to give you a versatile, one-board quiver. The Dual Progressive sidecut offers a forgiving ride for consistent shredding in all conditions, and the W1 pure-wood core adds flex, durability, and snap to the Brigade. The Hybritech construction blends the cap tip and tail into the sidewall along the running surface, resulting in low swing weight and smooth turn initiation. Translation? The seamless design helps you snap turns and throw spins like you have a Red Bull sponsorship.

Bottom Line: Add the Brigade to your arsenal.

the one you saw on K2's site was actually the 2009-2010 (or just 2010) model, this is the 2008-2009

I'm 5'11" weigh 195 lbs and wear size 11 boot. I'm trying to decide between the 161 and the 163 wide. Which would be the better bet for someone my size?

With your boot size, a wide isn't a necessity due to toe drag. If you stick to the jibs, rally the 161. If you shred the deep and cruise the grooms, cruise on the 163 wide.

it's a great all-around board and riding it will make you a better snowboarder. however it won't be as forgiving as some of the more introductory boards out there. if you're committed to riding and don't get discouraged easily this will be a solid board to learn on, as well as one that will still be fun to mess around on once you've reached at the next level.beginner boards usually are softer and will be more conducive to initiating turns- burton makes a bunch of good options in and around this price range

I need a new board, my Burton Bullet is really beat up. I'm working witha budget so I like the price point with the Brigade but I don't know if this board will measure up to what I've been used to with the Burton. Has anyone been riding this board yet? How is the flex? I don't want a really soft board.
