K2 Podium Snowboard - 2008

Whether you aspire to win park, slope-style, extreme, or boardercross comps, the K2 Podium Snowboard will help you get there. This K2 board's sidecut starts out mellow toward the tips and gets more aggressive near your feet, which gives you the stability to straight-line chutes in the backcountry and the responsiveness to handle quick, tight turns in the park. Carbon torsion forks in this directional board's tip and tail give you huge pop for ollies and lend the board an energetic feel. Even at top speed, you'll feel confident and in control thanks to the buttery smooth ride the wood core provides. The Podium's sintered 4000 base and one-degree base bevel offer superior glide, lessening the chance you'll get stuck on the flats on a long traverse.

Bottom Line: Ride the K2 Podium all-terrain board, and take charge of the entire mountain.

I wear a size 11.5 (men's US) boot. Is this board wide enough so that I won't get toe-drag?

I have a 12 boot and regular width boards are perfect. It won't be a problem at all, especially if you have a slanted stance.

yeah dude its fine...the whole board width to boot size thing is just a formality and riding a standard width board doesnt present any real problems unless you have very very large feet, like 13+

The Podium has served me well in every task i've thrown at it. Most especially, this board is super nimble in trees, both in long glades and tight access routes. I own a 161, and I can honestly say as a daily driver, it's all I need. It holds long surf carves on hardpack, is stable when straightlining, floats well in foot+ gnar, and is supportive and responsive in both park and straight air half pipe runs.

One final item i could share is that the base is pretty durable overall. I've hit far more rocks and stumps than the base lets on, and to me...that's been a wallet saver.
