K2 T Nine Burnin Luv Ski w/ Marker ERS 11.0 TC Binding - Women's

Advanced female carvers can’t wait to get their hands on the K2 Women’s Burnin’ Luv Alpine Ski w/ K2/Marker ERS 11.0 TC Bindings. These skis balance strength, playfulness, and a smokin’-hot sidecut—which lets you carve the cord at blistering speeds and have fun top to bottom.

  • Metal Laminate ABS Sidewall construction incorporates titanium for bomber resilience
  • A skinny 70mm waist eats tight turns for breakfast and slices up hardpack for lunch
  • BioFlex wood core blends spruce and fur with bamboo stringers for stability and forgiveness
  • MOD Monic Technology builds a female-specific vibration dampener into the ski’s tip
  • Skier stance is set a bit forward of the traditional male ski stance to accommodate a woman’s lower center of gravity
  • Lightweight Marker ERS 11.0 TC Bindings integrate with the ski itself for primo power transfer and precision

Bottom Line: Catch the fever.

I'm 5'3 3/4" and weigh 115. I'm a Type III skier, mostly in N. CA, but occasionally in Utah or CO. I just skied on my new 149cm Burnin' Luvs and they were AWESOME! One thing I noticed was that you can't skate up a hill or on a flat in these new parabolic skis. Be prepared to jump a bit!

That's really hard to decide on without some more info. Two things you need to factor in are what is your skiing ability and also what part of the country are you skiing in mostly? If you're out west and in softer snow more often than hard snow then you'd probably want to size up while in the east you're going to want to have a short ski generally.

From your height/weight, you're probably going to want to be in the 156cm if you're more of a casual/intermediate skiier while the 163cm would be good if you're more of an advanced/expert skiier.

Fast Ski

I have the 08 model of this ski, and for Maine snow (aka ice), it was my go-to alpine ski last season. Excellent carver, and really fast, & stable. Due to the narrow waist, I didn't enjoy taking this ski off trail, but then again, that is not what it is made for. I would definitely recommend this ski for an intermediate/advanced skier who normally skis groomed runs in the East. Out West, I'd go with something a little fatter.
