K2 Anti Piste Telemark Ski - 2008

With a rocker design and long tip, this powder ski possesses almost telekinetic initiation and gravity defying float. The K2 Anti Piste Telemark Ski is a pure powder ride that's all about soul. This ski's reversed camber design (the tips are curved up, like a surf board) makes for effortless floating and long turns in the deep stuff. Combine the rocker with a long tip and a fat profile, and you have a predictable, sturdy powder ski ready to take on storm cycle after storm cycle. K2 gave the Anti Piste tele ski just enough side cut under foot so you can get back to the lift without looking like a fool.

Bottom Line: Redefine how you ski powder.

Anti Piste Fav

The AP is a great tele ski for powder and chop. They ski short on groomers due to splayed tip, but they shine in the deep. I am 170 lbs and I could not bury the tips on my 181 cm APs in tree wells or deep deep wind loaded slopes. This is a big ski for skinnning, but works great in area, slack country and short laps. This is my dedicated powder ski for Aspen Highlands and Snowmass powder days and I would not favor this ski for long slogs, peak bagging or hut trips (ski weight + skin weight + ski width = over worked).

Will the anti piste inserts be compatible with a BD O1 binding?

Will the anti piste inserts be compatible with a BD O1 binding? I'd assume so but it doesn't say so on the page. Thanks!

Anti Pistes are the Anti Suck

I'm 6'2", 165 lbs, skiing with Black Diamond 01s. I have the 181s. Just skied these on 8 inches of pow at Snowbird this morning, and WOW are they fun skis. Fast, stable, love to turn. The mini-rocker tip really prevents tip-dive (a problem I had with my G3 Reverends in deeper snow), and the flat tail and the weight of the ski make arcing long fall-line turns really, really fun. Did I mention that these were fun skis?
These did get a little squirrely on hard pack, but if the snow was soft on the groomers, they handled really well. If there is even a little bit of snow on the ground, I'm bringing these bad boys. Nuff said.
