Julbo Micropore Sunglasses offer a durable design and quality craftsmanship that add up to the ultimate in eye protection. These shades offer top-shelf bright-light protection for skiers, mountaineers, and snowmobilers. They feature a bi-gradient polycarbonate lens with anti-glare protection, removable and vented leather side shields, moldable temples, and—the feature they're named for—a micropore self-venting nose bridge that delivers fog-free performance. Julbo also throws in a lightweight strap, so you don't drop these glasses from ten pitches up. Awesome protection and superior ventilation make the Micropores THE choice of serious mountaineers worldwide.
Bottom Line: Julbo Micropore are serious eye protection for glacier and snow travelers that resist fogging.
The glasses are very nice. Well fitted, not too heavy, good stuff. However, there's a bit of distortion to the lens, so it takes a little getting used to to wear them. Also note that the brown tint is prevalent in what you're looking at. They make the whole world a bit browner. Not a problem for me, but something another buyer might care to know.
Great eye protection, lightweight, comfortable. The only inconvenience is that these glasses have bendable wire frames that don't completely hold up in the pocket of my jacket. When I took them out of the case (which I don't carry when I'm climbing), and placed them in the chest pocket of my jacket, they were bent when I put them on. It took me a while to bend the frames back into a comfortable position. Love the glasses, but would prefer to have solid frames like other Julbo glacier glasses.
The optic quality is great, as well as the fit. I do a lot of target shooting and the bridge of the glasses block your field of vision when sighting through a rifle scope. I did not purchase the glasses with the intent of shooting, so I can not be critical about this. It would have been an added bonus if they had worked better for this purpose. Great product overall.
