Julbo Dirt Sunglasses - Zebra X2-4 Lens

When it’s time to hit the trails and get a little muddy, pull on the Julbo Dirt Zebra Sunglasses. These stylin’ shades feature photochromic Zebra lenses that automatically adjust to changing light conditions. The aerodynamic acetate frame has a wrapping profile to maximize your field of view, and temple and nose pads provide a comfortable fit. A special lens treatment reduces foggy flare-ups.

Bottom Line: Come prepared for changing light when you hit the trail.

The Most Amazing Glacier Glasses

By:
July 13, 2009

I just used these on a summit of Mt Adams this weekend. It was in the mid 80's and almost not a cloud in the sky. I could not believe how well they worked from 6am in the morning until 6pm in the evening. These didn't leave my face. Even with full intensity, the photochromatic lenses adjusted spectacularly and I could face the glacier all day. In the morning anyone can see my eyes. By the time we hit the glacier, all you could see was this metallic golden shield (kind of like the visor in Halo!). They never slipped. They never fogged up - even in full intensity work-out up the glacier. When I returned to camp they were dirty from sunscreen and who knows what else, but I could even tell. Normally on sunglasses, I notice every spec. These are definitely the best performing sunglasses I've ever owned. One other note - you don't want polarized lenses for glaciers - you can't tell the difference between snow and ice. Also, my guide company for Mt Rainier recommends these for glacier glasses (so even though Julbo doesn't market these for such purposes, they work extremely well for it).
