Julbo Nomad Sunglasses - Alti Spectron X6 Lenses - 2006

Julbo's #1 selling glacier glasses have been spotted ascending peaks on all seven continents and sailing all seven seas. The Julbo Nomad sunglasses provide the ultimate protection in maximally bright light while skiing, climbing, or even sailing, and they do so with the latest in glacier glass styling. Removable side shields protect against reflected light above, below, and at the sides of the eyes. A Photochromatic lens automatically adjusts to varying light intensity between categories 3 and 4 (brightest categories). Straight temple pieces with rubber inserts ensure these Nomads don't wander off your face, and also make them easy to put on and take off while wearing a helmet.

Bottom Line: A new look in high mountain protection.

Find a Better Quality Sunglass for the money

By:
February 22, 2006

These sunglasses are just okay, the fit and finish could be better. They came with two sets of clip-on snow glare shields neither of which fits well. One of the shields, if bumped, even slightly, will fall off. The sunglasses cannot be put on with one hand because the end of the ear piece is sharp and will scratch and/or poke. The price is good but there are other sunglasses on the market for comparable price but better quality.

Best glacier glasses for the price!

By:

I use these glasses for driving, hiking and mountain climbing. It comes in a hard case that protects when packing, has removable side shields, straight ear frames allow taking on and off while wearing a helmet easy, and changes the tint darkness depending on the conditions. What really sells these glasses? They are comfortable. Try on a pair of these and the search will be over.

Outstanding glasses! Very comfortable fit, excellent visual clarity and eye protection. If you spend time in bright conditions on water or snow like I do, these are the best I've found yet.

Nomad Glacier Glasses

By:

These lightweight glasses work well. I have used them in a variety of conditions and they seem to crossover from bright sun on snow covered slogs to granite. Although, they are a little dark for forested areas, but of course they're not designed for the shade! They are stylish enough for the outdoors too.
