Integral Designs PLQ Pant - Men's - 2006

The Integral Designs Men's PLQ Pant is the perfect choice for winter climbers and hikers who are counting ounces as they pack their bags. Made with an ultralight 20D micro-fiber shell and insulated with 3oz PrimaLoft, this pant weighs only 12oz. Tucked away in the included Silcoat stuff sack, it makes for a package that's only 14 x 5in. Try getting your other insulated pants down to that size. The slick outer material allows easy layering over or under your shells. This pant can also be worn alone when you're around camp. This is one of the lightest insulated pants in the world.

Bottom Line: Counting ounces? You only have to count to 12 with the PLQ Pant.

I took the PLQ pants on my February trip to wear as an thermo layer to sleep in and to wear around camp. Temperatures dropped to -17F during the night. I wore two wool base layers under the PLQ pants but only had a 20F bag covered with a 6oz bivy sack. The PLQ pants were perfect. I stayed warm with out sweating through out the night and hanging around camp after hiking all day was toasty. At 9oz I not leaving these behind. They will always be in my winter pack.
