Icelantic Nomad Alpine Ski

Icelantic made the Nomad for those who choose to roam the mountains, hunting out fresh tracks in the backcountry and gathering precious vert the frontside. A native of Colorado, this sage-like wanderer sports the magic number of 105mm at its waist for ultimate versatility across all conditions. But Icelantic gave the Nomad a giant 140mm shovel that keeps your tips higher than a hippy in the tram so you won’t submarine in the deep stuff. The ample sidecut means this ski boasts a surprisingly short turning radius and carves up groomers and hardpack with impunity. A twin tail lets you slide backwards out of sketchy lines and tight trees or toss a 540 when you’re feeling saucy. The meaty fiberglass sandwich construction and massive surface area lends this ski to a shorter length than you might normally ride in a more traditional shape – Icelantic recommends sizing down for best results.
