The Icebreaker Women's BodyFit200 Legless Bottoms stop at your calves—if you wear tight ski boots, have large calves, or just don't want another layer, you'll appreciate these Icebreaker long johns. Icebreaker made the lightweight Legless Bottoms from merino wool, which breathes well, insulates you from the cold, and pulls your sweat away from your body to keep you dry. Flat seams mean these bottoms won't chafe, and a gusset provides a good fit and room to move freely.
Bottom Line: Socks are more than enough to have underneath your boots—wear the Icebreaker Legless Bottoms when you ski or ride.
I am a 5' petite and these legless bottoms are just the right size. Many times I have had to fold the legs of other products. If you are under 5'2", do not hesitate to purchase this. You will not regret it.
I got these because I have midget style legs and I didn't want stuff bunching at my ankles. They fit the bill perfectly. No itching, no pinching in the waist. Just warm cozy legs for sleeping and cold weather packing. And it's nice to have a color other than black or white for wool leggings.
Which has a lighter weight wool.. these tights or the GT180 Strider Tight? I'm looking for warm weather sleepwear that will wick away perspiration, and not cause overheating. Thanks!
I wear these pretty much every ski day, whether in the resort or backcountry, and they keep me very comfortable. They are very durable- I've had them going on 5 years! I love the 3/4 length as a short-legged girl, and while the waist is high, it rolls down nicely. The only negative thing I can say about these is that they do tend to loosen up a bit as you wear them. That might compromise a bit on warmth, but it makes them awfully comfy! Anyhow, I highly recommend these.
I have another pair of icebreaker pants in an XS that fit great, had to return to get a medium in these. Otherwise like them a lot. Wear them kayaking or to the beach - legless is perfect for that! Dry quick and warm/cool depending on environment.
Hi Judy, in my experience the waist loosens up quite a bit over time- however, mine are a much older version than these (5 yrs old). Hope that helps! And yes, pure merino.
they changed the waist band and the fit on these. I have 2 older pairs, a large and an XL that both fit great. I actually have to fold over the waist on the XL, but i have always preferred that because it reduced the whole "sausage-waist" effect of most base-layer waist bands. But the XL pair i just bought are smaller than my old size Large and the waist band is skinny and tight and really uncomfortable. I am SO SO sad that I will have to return these as I love the old ones so much.
This might sound gross, but I've worn these literally every time I've gone skiing this season--25 days and counting. Don't worry, I do occasionally wash them, but they practically don't need it. Merino wool does not stink, no matter how much you sweat. The weight is perfect and I like the length, just past my ski socks.
Didn't want pant seams inside my ski boots, so I bought these, and they're great! Soft, warm, and thin, so they layer great under my (rather loose) ski pants and socks. The rise isn't low (more of a classic rise), but I don't care cuz no one sees them. And it's an eco-friendly manufacturer, which I dig.
It's true the sizes are not huge and when washed you have to sort of wriggle in but oh my goodness, these leggings are great. There's no pinch in the ski boot like with longer leggings and the brown colour is very nice, softer than black. I also got the heavier weight ones but these lighter ones are the best. I wear them round the house, under jeans, they're just great. I hope they still do them next year, just the same... merino wool is just great and they wash well. I can't recommend them enough.
Love the quality, hate the fit¦I am 5'1 and the waist on these went 2 inches past my bellybutton. If the rise on these were lower, I would still have them.
