Icebreaker BodyFit200 Contour Crew - Short-Sleeve - Men's

Merino wool and a thoughtful design make the Icebreaker Men's BodyFit200 Contour Crewe T-Shirt ideal to wear to the gym, the trail, or the local pub. As you hike or climb, this shirt's lightweight merino wool breathes like crazy to regulate your body temperature and keep you cool. Raglan sleeves, flatlocked side gussets, and a seamless underarm eliminate chafing when you wear a pack. Because of merino's natural odor-resistance, you can head straight from the trail to the bar without worrying about killing your buddies with your stink. The slim-cut, body hugging design frames your silhouette, and allows the merino wool to wick sweat.

Bottom Line: From the trail to the bar, you'll look great and feel comfortable in the Icebreaker Contour Crewe.

Best t-shirt I've ever owned

By:
November 4, 2009

I love this shirt. It fits my body well and provides an amazing base layer for almost any day. The wool repels odor, insulates well and breathes well. It's comfortable to wear all day (and my days are long.) One thing: it fits very close to the body. I like it, particularly as a base layer, but you may not. I wish they weren't so expensive and you do have to be careful when you wash them, but those are small sacrifices. I will be buying more of these because I basically wear one every day.

Amazing...

By:

This is by far the best t-shirt I have ever bought. I wear this thing any time I think I'm gonna break a sweat, running, biking, climbing, hiking, my record is 9 days straight, day and night, backpacking. By then it started to hold a bit of odor, but all my other polypro would have reeked after only the first couple of hours. The skin tight fit is amazing, the wool is really soft and comfy, can barelt even notice it. Well worth the investment, but watch the sizing, I generally wear a medium to large normal shirt but I heard these run small so I got a large and it is skin tight. I also bought an XL and it fits more like a normal T. I also have the long sleeve, and love it even more.

I think between the two they're sixes. They're as close to equal as you can get. If I was forced to choose I'd say Icebreaker was a little more durable but not really enough to tell.

Best T-shirt ever!

By:
February 2, 2009

I love this shirt. I usually wear popular poly t-shirts, not anymore. I will be ordering more of these in the near future.

Oh, by the way, "Backcountry" rocks and has the quickest delivery time of any online store I have ever ordered from.

Well satisfied.

wondershirt

think this is a great shirt. very comfortable and functional. when it comes to sizing, i usually float between medium and large, definetly had to go with a large with this as the fit is somewhat snug. was a little scratchy at first, but after a couples washes was fine. great shirt.

Has anyone who owns one of these tops found the neck to be a little loose? I have another icebreaker top and it seems to be that way. I was wondering if that was with all of their tops, just the body fit or if it was just my particular top. Thanks.

Mine's a little looser than expected for a tight-fitting baselayer as well.

A shirt for everything

By:
May 22, 2009

I got this for my husband for running and biking. It does fit snug so if you're uncomfortable wearing close fit shirts then this isn't the shirt for you unless you order a size up. He really likes it, it keeps him cool when working out.

Great base layer, but has a few issues

By:
May 5, 2009

I bought this short-sleeved shirt as a next-to-skin base layer for downhill skiing. I was attracted to it because of the snug fit and wear it under an older Bodyfit 260, which I wear all of the time even when not skiing.

Pros:
It’s snug so it feels warmer than its light weight suggests.
The lack of bulk allows it to layer nicely under just about any other second layer.
The neck is snug, but not too much...I wonder if Icebreaker made some changes here because earlier comments suggested the neck was a little loose and this one is definitely not too loose.
It’s Icebreaker merino wool so it’s comfy and resists body odor.
Backcountry’s free shipping got it here in 4 days.

Cons:
While it’s designed to fit snugly, it also runs a bit small and I think most buyers would want to move up a size beyond what they normally wear. I’m 5’10”, 160 pounds and usually wear smaller ‘mediums’ or larger ‘smalls.’ If I get another one of these, it will be a ‘large’, a size I never wear.

Irritating small stuff...literally—the ‘care tag’ had such a stiff edge, I borrowed a ‘seam ripper’ from my girlfriend and very carefully cut out the stitching that held it in place.
