Ibex Outback Shirt Long-Sleeve - Men's - 2007

Doubling as a base layer or as a light long-sleeve by itself, the Ibex Men's Outback Long-Sleeve Shirt offers 3-season versatility and performance material for outdoor activities like skiing, boarding, hiking, backpacking, and camping. Itchless and machine washable, this Ibex merino wool is not your typical sheep fuzz. A completely natural fiber, merino wool pulls moisture to the surface for quick evaporation, resists stains and keeps odor- causing microbes away. With a relaxed fit that's comfortable under any sweater or coat, the Outback Long-Sleeve Shirt feels smooth and soft thanks to the itty bitty, wool fibers that are treated to remove barbs. Wear the Outback Shirt, and feel the all-natural power of wool.

Bottom Line: Take the comfortable, merino wool Ibex Outback on a walk-a-bout.

This is wool?

Its crazy how soft and wearable this shirt is, and in truth most Ibex gear in general. I'm totally sold on the wool revolution.
I wore this shirt for a week while doing home remodeling, and it never got funky. Sure, you need to take some basic care when washing, but well worth it in my opinion.

Amazing base layer

By:

I must say that I have fallen in love with Ibex. I bought this shirt a couple of months ago to use as a baselayer under my hockey equipment which is probably the true test for a baselayer. This shirt is excellent at wicking moisture and kept me cool for the 2 to 3 minute high intensity shifts on the ice as well as keeping me warm during cool down on the bench in-between shifts. It is also amazing that I haven't needed to wash the shirt in 3 months since purchasing. IT DOES NOT STINK!!!!!

Ibex made me a believer

Merino wool is incredible stuff. The claim about these things not stinking is completely true. I did a test by wearing this shirt on a two day climbing and biking weekend, then took it to work Monday (with the shirt unwashed). People would touch the fabric and say “Oh, this is that cool merino wool, huh. Is it true that it doesn’t stink like polyester?” He he he. The only drawback is that it dries a lot slower then polyester, so it would be a poor choice for alpine climbs where clothing is really hard to dry.

Going au naturel

I have used various synthetic baselayer T's when I came upon Ibex Merino wool. It is very soft, keeps you warm in the cold and cool in the heat. It's wicking properties are amazing! I wore my outback on a 35-mile hike where the temps were as high as 90 and a low as 40. It never failed me. It wicks so well that it sometimes looks like one's drenched, but the smell is minimal. Certainly not your old wool socks!
