Ibex 3/4 Johns - Men's - 2006

The Ibex ¾ Johns are a skier or snowboarder's best friend, offering moisture-wicking warmth in a ¾ length base layer bottom that won't interfere with your boots. New Zealand Merino wool makes the ¾ Johns the pinnacle of base layer technology, which is funny considering the material is all from a sheep. Caring for the ¾ Johns is pleasantly brainless, wash 'em and hang them out for a few hours to dry and you're back in business. Great Johns!

I love these John's! They are absolutely amazing!!! The wool is really soft, warm and keeps you dry. They dry quickly when they get wet and insulate very well! I bought a pair of the longs and the 3/4's and they're both great. I'll get more since I wear them for PJ's most days! I do wish they were a bit longer, maybe 2" or so, but they're really great as is!

Oddly proportioned

I haven't used these yet, and I probably won't until next winter, so I won't address perfomance. I can say, however, that the fit is rather odd. At 5'8", 190 lbs, 34" waist I would normally be a medium to large. The large Ibex that I tried on was plenty big in the waist but impossibly tight in the thighs, so I had to exchange for an XL which is enormous in the waist.

No more bunch

I could not be happier with these 3/4 johns. They have seen a lot of use since I got them. My only complaint is that the elastic in the waist seems poorly designed but I don't see it being a problem in the long run and it's actually quite comfy. I believe the tag says to hang dry them. But to get them from riding up in the legs I shrink them in the dryer. I am going to buy a second pair of these. Also the crotch seems to be a little big and could be gusseted.
Over all I really like these over my synthetic pair of normal long johns.
