Yeah, Honey Stinger 24 Pack Energy Gel is rad because of how much it helps your body energize, endure, and recover when you work out. But it’s also rad because it doesn’t taste like a cow patty. Most energy goo tastes so awful you just shoot it like cheap tequila, but this stuff is so nice you can even add it to your morning smoothie for a sweet energy boost. And you’ll like it—‘cause hell, who doesn’t like honey? Added vitamin B, potassium, and sodium customize the formula for intense athletic performance.
From the first time I tried the Honey Stinger Gel, I was hooked. It tastes like honey, not some lab concoction with a bunch of stuff I can't pronounce in it. I've never had stomach issues using it, and it definitely gives me the boost I need on long runs/races.
Honey Stinger is super easy to digest as a gel and I know I've had issues with other gels and the GI system...1 per hour gets me through an Ironman easy and you don't get tired of the flavor.
I use Honey Stinger Gels while training and racing mountain bikes. They are easy on my stomach and provide me with sustained energy. They are all natural so I know exactly what I am ingesting. I highly recommend these gels if you are seeking quick energy that lasts.
This was the first gel pack I have experienced and luckily it was a good one. The taste was not bad, very similar to sucking back some honey (surprise!) The gel was perfect for the middle of my century, really gave my system back what it needed to keep going.
Tried a different gel pack last weekend-couldn't do it, I recommend Honey Stinger hands down.
I am a big fan of the Honey Stinger gels, my personal favorites are ginsting and strawberry. As an athlete I use these all the time and as a sports nutritionist I recommend them a lot. They are small and portable and perfect fuel during exercise or as a food addition to toast or tea before exercise. They are also the perfect package of 120 calories of carbohydrate. I particularly appreciate the fact that they are made from organic honey and have added B-vitamins.
I've been using Honey Stinger products for several years, and they never let me down. The energy I get from the gel is excellent. It's predictable and sustained, so there are no peaks and valleys. It's also tasty which is critical for longer excursions where I have trouble taking in calories. I highly recommend this product.
As a professional triathlete I have been using Honey Stinger gels for years now. Not only do they taste great and go down easy they provide great energy. I love the Ginsting flavor it has that nice little caffeinated kick!
I've used gels from all different companies and always had GI problems with them while racing. Not with Honey Stinger, they always get me to the finish line still racing strong!
Man - it's about time we began carrying these Honey Stinger Energy Gels. These have been on the market for quite a few years now and I gotta say I have been a supporter since their early beginning. These are probably the tastiest gel I have been introduced to, though GUs are getting more and more appealing.
If you haven't tried these, they taste like packets of honey for the most part (duh). But I can't tell you how many times towards the end of the race where my stomach has felt like crap and I don't feel like eating anything until I realized that I did in fact pack some honey stingers into a drop bag. It's a sigh of relief. These are very easy to stomach and provide the same amount of energy as any other gel.
The packs are simple to open, and the other flavors (ginseng, strawberry, and regular ) all taste well. I haven't tried the banana yet, but I probably will in the future.
Last but not least, the only downside to these is that they don't have a shelf life like other gels may. If you have used some old honey stingers in a race, you know exactly what I am talking about. The honey begins to crystallize. It's like eating chunks of rock-candy. I'd recommend using these gels w/in 3 months of buying them to be safe.
