Hestra XCR Mitt

As part of their Alpine Pro line, the Hestra XCR Mitt has all the technical features you need-Gore-Tex, Fiberfill Insulation, and a grippy leather palm-with the top-notch fit and quality you've come to expect from Hestra. If you are a hard-core winter enthusiast or spend your days as a patroller, slip on the Hestra XCR Mitt when the weather gets really nasty. Long Gore-Tex XCR cuffs with drawstring closures keep the snow out when you are digging out someone's lost ski. Hestra pre-curved these mittens so that they follow the natural shape of your hand for a more comfortable, relaxed grip on your poles or shovel.

Bottom Line: Quality, warmth, and water protection are what make the Hestra XCR Mitt your stormy weather choice.

Just click on the "view sizing chart" button above and it tells how to measure your hand accordingly to know where you fit in their size chart that they have listed.

I ski about 60 days a year, and use this mittens probably 3 times a year, they are for "stormriders" and for most days simply too warm!!! I use them only at -25'C or less, normally use Hestra vertical cut or "spring leather" on the glacier... I think you can dig in the snow with your hands the whole day and feel no humidity or cold on your hands. Sick glove

Toasty Mitts

By:

If your hands get cold in these, then you probably have a circulation problem! These are "waterproof ovens" for your hands and the quality of these mitts can't be beat.

They are not included, but you can buy a pair from Hestra's website for around $20. I bought these for mine and they work great. http://www.hestrausa.com/prod.php?p=HES3415. Used them in B.C., ID and, MT last year in 0-degree weather and was always warm and toasty!

Best Quality Ski Mittens There Is!

By:
February 20, 2008

I love these mittens! They keep your hands toasty and warm. They are extra long, which is a bonus to keep snow out. There is also enough room in these mittens to allow you to wear thin liner gloves underneath. Another plus if you need to take your gloves off while on the slopes or chair lift. My ski instructor recommended these gloves as being the best! They are worth every penny!

Definitely waterproof

By:

A cream is included that will soften and waterproof the leather -- apply liberally to the leather before first use. Comes with wrist straps that let you safely remove the gloves on a chair lift without fear of losing them. Accidentally got snow inside of mine in 5ºF/-15ºC while they were hanging from my wrists. But after a short while, the snow melted and the gloves dried out. The Gore-Tex XCR really works!
