Grivel Alp Wing Adze Ice Axe w/ Evolution Pick - 2004

Designed for technical alpine climbing, the Grivel Alp Wing Ice Axe is ideal for anyone getting on steep ice in the mountains. A slightly-bent upper shaft reaches over bulges and facilitates hooking on mixed terrain, while the straight lower shaft allows the Alp Wing to be easily planted in the snow. The Horn on the bottom of the handle protects your knuckles from bashing into the ice and provides hand support for leashless climbing. It can also be removed if you need a clean shaft profile for planting the shaft on moderate terrain. The included Easy G leash can be easily operated with any size gloves on and provides excellent support for steep ice, making it perfect for the mountains. Whether you're doing winter routes in the Rockies or spending a season in the Andes, the Alp Wing is exactly what you need to succeed.
