The Granite Gear Toughsack keeps your gear and clothing dry and organized. Granite Gear Toughsacks will last you a lifetime of heavy use. Made with 210 denier packcloth, Toughsacks are the most rugged stuff sacks on the market. COMES IN ASSORTED COLORS. WE'LL SURPRISE YA! SEE DIMENSIONS BELOW.
Bottom Line: They don't call them Toughsacks for nothin'.
I've got two each of #'s 1 through 3. They come in very handy for anything & everything. I even use a #1 for my small golf items like tees, ball markers, various tools, etc. The GG's don't have a top, inner flap so they're not as water resistant as my old Chouinard's but as long as you keep them above water, they're fine. The #2 works great as a fuel bottle carrier & the coated nylon material keeps small spills in check.
I'm the type that likes to have things organized and separated. These are great for doing so. They are really durable and great for camping. I liked putting my blankets, pillow cases, snacks in them. Really useful to put clothes already worn in them instead of a plastic bag. Doesn't retain smell. These are just nice toughsacks to have!
This is another nice product from Granite Gear... Not quite as nice as the rock solid compression sacks they have, but these work to organize small things together and sort out clothes and things for backpacking trips. If you are organization oriented then you will love these no matter what!
I believe that you just order one bag at a time. If you order "Assorted #1" you will get one of the #1 size bags. What is "assorted" is the color, so that you specify the size and they surprise you with the color.
I used the sack (#6) to store the emergency blanket in my car. It works perfectly! I was able to stuff the blanket neatly into the bag so it's neatly stored in my trunk and looks so cool! The blanket was a queen size fleece blanket, so the sack capacity was better than I expected also.
Got a size three and four to use as food bags for backpacking. I had a hard time figuring out the exact size they were going to be before ordering but the worked great. A four is about he size of a large loaf of bread and a little extra. Anywho they held up great.
Tough little sack, but an inner flap would make this product a lot better. All in all very handy to have a bunch of these laying around. I use the 2 of the #3's to stuff my tent and rain fly seperately, in case the fly is wet when it's time to pack up and hit the trail. That way my tent won't fester in the moisture also. I use the #6 for my clothes.
I bought a bunch of these to pack my munchkins' (2 & 3 yrs) winter clothes for a 2-week Christmas trip, and love them. I managed to stuff 3 pairs of ski pants into a size 4 sack, and ski jumpsuits each fit into a size 3. I wonder why I hadn't bought them before. They are also great for organizing small items like hair ornaments and toys.
They compress bulky clothes so well that we managed to pack everything into our bags without exceeding airlines' allowances. I have never been able to pack so much gear into so few bags. I highly recommend them.
Tough bags that do exactly what they are made for. Bigger than I was expecting though. I received the #7 with the intent on using it for weekend trip clothes. It is huge! Wish I would've gotten the #6 or even the #5. Anyways, highly recommended!
I ordered the #1 and used it for a solid six months to store my toothbrush, toothpaste, vitamins, and face lotion with a little wiggle room. Kept the stickiness inside, rather than getting all over the rest of my stuff. Didn't have any problems with holes or loose stitches.
Got a #4 as the first one of a set that im planning for. Great for keeping dirty clothes on a 2.5 week trip, fits greatly on my backpack, the materials are tough, they seem to be well stitched and i hope it will last a long time. ill be getting a couple more to store my skiing gear Great for organizing your stuff
These stuff sacks are fabulous because they come in so many sizes. Outside of the obvious storage uses you might think of, these are also great as a bear bag, toiletry kit, 72 hour bag, etc... Super tough so you know they'll last for a long time.
These seemed to be a little smaller than I expected, but I still put them to good use. The smalls were perfect for keeping my base layers, socks, bandanas, and socks organized (in one) and my stove, fuel, lighter, etc in another. Water resistant enough for a pack but I wouldn't leave them out on a rainy night.
I have two young girls and we get out as much as we can. These sacks are perfect for tons of uses; as lunch bags, to hold tennis balls, toys, clothes. You name it. Closures are tough. Material slips easily into larger bags for organization. well worth the money.
