Loose, steep, scree-covered trails don't stand a chance against the comfort and protection of the GoLite Women's Spike Tail 2 Trail Running Shoe. Thanks to GoLite's Isomorphic suspension system and plush PU midsole, this shoe gives you a cushy ride even on horrendous ground. A scree gaiter keeps rocks and dirt out of the Spike Tail 2 Trail Running Shoe, so nothing interferes with the supportive stabilizing heel cradle. These fully featured shoes even come with antimicrobial footbeds to keep the stink factor to a minimum when you toss them in the back seat for the drive home.

Good, But Not Great

This is my second pair of GoLite shoes,my first pair was the Sun Dragon and I loved them. This is a stiffer shoe and the scree gaiter makes it difficult to get into. Although, I do like the roomy toe box and the amazing traction.

I didn't find the fit of this shoe to be great, even when using the inserts. The sizing is unusual. I have average width feet. I'm an 8 and had to choose between 7.5-8 or 8.5-9. Not wanting to go too small for a running/hiking shoe I chose the larger. They slip at the heel and caused blisters, after wearing them for just 20 minutes. Trying to figure out a solution as the rest of the shoe is comfortable and has great traction. I Don't think I could have gone smaller. My girlfriend has them and loves them.
