Giro Omen Helmet

Keep your brain in between your ears with the In-Mold protection of the Giro Omen Helmet. This design fuses the outer shell with the impact-absorbing EPS liner to form a bomber lightweight exoskeleton. Wind Tunnel ventilation combines active vents with internal exhaust channels that keep cool, fresh air flowing over and around your head while kicking out the heat. Instantly adjust the airflow in the front or back with the Dual Thermostat Control buttons to customize your comfort and enjoy the easily adjusted fit provided by Giro’s In-Form system.

Bottom Line: Who woulda thought a brain bucket could be so comfortable?

Ordered this cuz I couldn't find a good deal on a Smith Variant Brim. Looked good as a photo, but when I put it on I looked like Toad from Mario Cart! Sizing was a bit sloppy, I ordered a Large. Sent it back and will wait out a deal on the Smith.

Great Helmet

The Giro Omen is a geat helmet. I've skied in it for 2 years. Light weight with great ventilation and clean design. The fit is the best that I have found. My only wish is that they change the design of the goggle retainer, It works okay and keep the goggles in place, but I think it could be better by opening up from the bottom as I have found some pine branches cought in it.

Unless you have a VERY big head Large should fit. The only model BIGGER is the G9 XL, it goes to 65cm in limited colors. Also a very nice helmet.

When I can too I herd one ski patol say to another I bet this idoit didn't have a helmet on!!!! the one hepling said yes he did its over there all I herd was holly @#@^!!!! just bought anoghter and waiting for the powder , wouldn't think of sking with out it !!!!!

Nice Helmet

The Giro Omen is a nice helmet. I've skied in it a couple of seasons and it's pretty nice. Light weight, good ventilation. Chin strap is padded so that is comfortable. The plastic inner-frame is adjustable so you can get a decent fit. I have a hard time fitting helmets with my tiny pinhead, so I got this in a small. My only nit is if I tighten the inner frame a bit too much I get a headache, but it's easily loosened. I found the Giro G10 helmet to be a bit more comfortable.
